I bet Kev is not too popular now out West or at American. Leonidas killed the West kids advancement and they watch East new hires go right to the 76. The pay issue will kill them in arbitration. The APA guys want him to get lost.

One of the four Leonidas LLC directors is apparently now employed as an American Airlines pilot;\

Having Kevin Horner associated in any way with this DFR only hurts the effort. How can he adequately meet the fiduciary requirements to fairly represent the class? Our sources have told us that Kevin Horner’s current union, the APA, is furious with him for his participation in a DFR suit against another union.

The APA naturally wants to hose all USAirways people. The infantile AWA "spartans" are apparently just far, far too stupid to realize and even begin to understand that. Caese in point: prechillil: "I'm sure the APA will be fair to us all". Seriously: how can anyone even begin to deal with THAT degree of incurable STUPIDITY? Truly is it spoken that: "You can't fix stupid", and here we are, having to deal with such completely hopeless idiots...I'm all ears for any suggestions here...?

Yeah, well yeah, but that was before $675 ties became part of our Spartan uniform. We now have a symbol of unity (it was brilliant, shaming everyone out in the open!).

And the APA is gonna cave when they see our Unity Ties (No! They will not laugh. THEY WILL NOT.)

Yeah, well...not meaning to get overly uppity here, but all the times I've been truly privelged and honored to ever wear America's Colors, in either World competition or USAF service, well...no one ever expected me to buy any ridiculous tie for over $600, and the properly proud Flag and/or USA was easily and already attached to either "jock" or flight suit...Umm..of course..well...I've never managed to fantasize myself a "spartan", or proudly claimed some bowling average, just sayin'...and I never felt any need to imagine myself some "spartan", nor brag to the world about my bowling average. 😉

Gulp! What should we plan for there, "spartan" drama queen? Nukes, perhaps biological, or simply chemical strikes? Grow Up!
Still on that spartan crap.  No changes here....

You have been predicting meltdowns for ten years.   🙄  😛
Five.  You do remember your little meltdown requiring the company to get an injunction against you, don't you?

Still a mindless and disrespectful little punk, junior in every way, I see Ames, no changes there either. Small wonder "you'se" couldn't even make it into med school.

Sorry clt; far too many "spartan" buffoons in numerous guises have been exhibited over time here to immediately know. We've even one hopelessly infantile jackass pretending it's pathetic self an east pilot here...but we've not seen cactusboy's famous "This is Sparta!" lately. Per cleardirect?; I'd assume the utter futility of his own nonsense finally got to him, and he felt no need to continue making a complete fool of himself. Per cactus"boy" ("boy"...never was there a more appropriately done self denigration); methinks his handlers finally told him to just shut up, for the same reasons of discontinuing making a completely hopeless, village idiot of himself, which would've otherwise, perhaps hindered the Click to Donate issues. I mean after all; a supposedly grown "man" blathering out "This is Sparta!"...Seriously? 😉

Umm...I suppose I should now retreat in some degree of proper trepidation though, after all; one of their ferocious "soldiers" has recently boasted of a bowling average of 210! 😉 Flashing back to 30-40 years ago: Who then could have EVER imagined such pathetic creatures to even possibly, in even the then most twisted future fantasy, to nowadays be supposed "pilots"?..."Dire wolf" T-shirts and all?
You appear to become more inebriated with each passing post.

And "you'se" more just an unworthy little "spartan" fool with absurd fantasies of excessive self "worth" with each post. 😉 Be gratefull I hadn't the need to ever suffer such a pathetic little punk as yourself in my squadron, since I would not have.

As previously noted: "I'll not insult a man I won't stand against" What've "you'se" got in mind there punk?..Internet tough guy only? Wager's open, or are "you'se" merely an AWA "spartan"? Perhaps I'd be more properly impressed with your bowling average instead? 😉 That even a guard unit would ever adopt your sorry ass disgusts me, and serves only to indict the whole system.

Regardless of what you would like to call that period.... Did you predict it? No.

We're all shaking our heads Holly...

"Then there are the Real Men of Genius. The original RMG, not the United AFA MEC.

That of course would be the folks at the US Airline Pilots Association, AKA USAPA. USAPA still represents the pilots (fractured as the group is) at US Airways.

The last time we talked about the folks at USAPA, they were objecting to the fact that the Allied Pilots Association had filed for single carrier status with the National Mediation Board. That objection was quickly, and quite effectively in my opinion, dismantled in a very adult fashion by the APA the next day. To put it another way, the adults in the room took care of the situation quite nicely. (Unlike what happened with ALPA in the original US Airways/America West situation.)

But it appears the Real Men of Genius are not going down without a fight. (Guess there is still some money in the USAPA treasury to burn through.)

We've detailed the issue here in the past, and frankly, my patience with pilots arguing over seniority lists -- when the process to determine all of this and more is pretty clear -- has grown thin. The APA is not, as USAPA argued in a missive this week, "making a last minute change to any protocol."

Even worse, reading through the USAPA missives from this week, I find it ironic, er, amusing, er, frustrating, that the union seems to be using the very same arguments they used against ALPA in 2005 -- only this time they have reversed the situation. Or as someone wrote this week, "Ironically, every single point they raise would support the argument that the East and West pilots should STILL have separate unions! In fact, every point is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they argued to the NMB back in 2007!"

Exactly.

As APA said in a letter to its members,

"APA and the company have always understood that, at some point after a ruling by the NMB on the single-carrier proceeding, APA would assume representation for pilots at the two carriers and, as a consequence, take on a duty of fair representation to all of the pilots.

In recognition of this legally mandated state of affairs, APA therefore agreed that, up until the time APA becomes the representative of the entire pilot group, USAPA would be the sole representative of the pilots at US Airways and handle the merger negotiations within its discretion.

However, consistent with the law, once APA becomes the representative of all pilots, APA would of necessity displace USAPA and have authority as the certified collective bargaining representative over the process.

USAPA has always insisted that it maintain institutional involvement and a degree of control over the process even after it ceases to be a lawful collective bargaining representative. That, however, cannot be the case under the law."

(This was recently confirmed by a ruling of U.S. District Judge Silver in Arizona.)

What is the end game here? Apparently the Real Men Of Genius have determined that if they can get the National Mediation Board to consider the dispute, that will delay the process long enough to allow USAPA to have a say in the seniority process.

Yes, I'm sure you can see me shaking my head from here."

Any shaking could be dangerous. Be carefull it doesn't fall off completely, especially since no evidence has yet been been presented that any connective spine, or any semblance of other framework exists to hold it to "you'se" shoulders. 😉

No worries for the moment though, just "impress" us all with your "spartan" bowling average again...? 🙂

Wow, still sober enough to type.  I'm proud of you you old sot.

Previously covered. "You'se" are just an internet "spartan" here, without the slightest spine or required "honor" to ever accept challenges of any kind, and obviously, a wholesale joke in what laughably passes for a "real" life elsewhere. Feel free to keep up the Fantasyland/internet nonsense as "you'se" see fit...umm...and would "you'se" mind once again dazzling us all with your bowling abilities?..Or would even that prove too much an intrusion on what a complete clown you actually are in life? 🙂

Per your "proud"; have you so soon forgotten that I'd not willingly choose "you'se" to even be any pathetic object that I'd so much as choose to wipe dog crap off my shoe soles on?

"You'se" are merely, at best, the equal of a squallng five year old, desperate for attention, that imagines crying loudly will always get some.
