62% of Americans believe abortion morally wrong

Abortions should not be used as a contraceptive device/option.
Other than that, there should be special circumstances. Unfortunately, most laws are binary (black/white) and don't account for gray areas.

When should abortion be allowed?

It should be determined by the individual states, it's not addressed in the Constitution.

Congress making laws is not in the constitution? Try article 1.
Last time I checked, the current Prez makes and changes the laws, all by his lonesome!

So you believe the state should control your body and not you? Where does the woman and her doctor come into play?

If you truly believe that the state shouldn't control your body, then they also have no right to prohibit assisted suicide, force me to wear a helmet or seatbelt, or to define what the minimum level of health care insurance is that I have to carry.

Suicide - Your body your right.

Seat Belt - your body your right. Can an insurance company stipulate that if you do not have a seat belt on at the time of your accident they will not cover your healthcare costs and if you cannot pay for it your self you will be denied care at a hospital?

Health care - given the cost structure of health care and the fact that most people at some point in their life will require health care that they cannot afford I disagree. If you want to live in a world where you do not get any health care for which you cannot pay for then I believe you should be able have what ever level of care that you want. Since in the current structure I have to help pay for the care you cannot afford I do not think you should have that choice as your choice will affect others adversely.

Look into Obamacare, the Fed, not the State now owns your body.

How does mandating health care coverage show fed ownership of your body?

55 million abortions since Roe V Wade......

Heard DNC is trying to figure out how they could have been born and registered as Democrats.

And one death threat to our county's public health director on  the anniversary or Roe v Wade....even  though the county health department doesn't perform abortions.  But this is Kansas...the state where it's cool to shoot a guy in the face at church, so long as that guy performs abortions during the week.

Would like to believe a real Doctor would tell a woman, an abortion wouldn't be too good for the baby's health, if a real one were involved!

Thats nice.

So back.to the question. Whi should have the say. The state or the woman and her doctor?
