If anyone is moving to Tempe, you'll like it there. HQ is about 1/4 mile from the ASU campus--there's LOTS of places to eat down there. Movie theater, shops, etc. Every year, Mill Ave. is shut down to traffic and they have one of the biggest New Year's Eve celebrations in the country. Downtown Tempe has a **LOT** more than Downtown Phoenix.

I've only been to places on the 1st floor, but I understand the same thing. Apparently, AWA also owns more property along Mill Ave. Just a few years ago, the city was worried they'd have to find someone else to develop that property--but maybe not anymore!

That is nice ... I have worked for "old" u for 19 years and have no idea what the headquarters looked like. It was always some mysterious place in Crystal City.

A very bland brownish brick building shared by several companies.

Nice view of the Salt River too. Mills Ave is a lot of fun...really nice Latin Steakhouse within walking distance, and the people by and large are a friendly bunch. The old flourmill up the river is an eyesore, though.

They do have "Tempe Town Lake" 🙂 -- 🙂--which is actually about a 2-mile long section of the dried out Salt River bed that is "enclosed" with inflatable dams. After the rain we had this past spring, they had to actually deflate those dams for the first time since the lake was "built" in 1999.
