If you worked at U for 19 years and had no idea what Cystal Palace looked like , I find you quite ignorant and set in your ways!

Nice view of the Salt River too.  Mills Ave is a lot of fun...really nice Latin Steakhouse within walking distance, and the people by and large are a friendly bunch.  The old flourmill up the river is an eyesore, though.

Ah, you newcomers! The Hayden Flour Mill is a historic structure, not an eyesore! Makes me think of our great state's legendary ol' Senator Carl (Hayden), who held the "prop up the senile old guy in the Senate" record for about 30 years until Strom rightfully took the title away...

What in the world are you talking about??? My post is referring to Tempe Town Lake which AWA HQ overlooks and the good fishin' in the lake. I won't deny I'm ignorant. I've only been in commercial aviation a few years and haven't seen all the pains of more experienced people. I love my job and I'm grateful to have one. Maybe being ignorant is a good thing from what I've seen some people post. Maybe it's all about attitude, or a combination of both. Whatever it is I have peace. Try fishin' sometime; it may bring you peace too 😉

But CCY was rented space, I don't think US had the entire building and I think even less of it as time went on.

Charles E Smith wouldn't let US put up a sign on the building marking it as USAirways--you could walk past it a hundred times and not know.

Although what was nice was the Ruth Chris Steakhouse nearby where you could watch airplanes come and go at DCA with a fabulous view of downtown washington.
