The Dallas Cowboys' offense never really took off in their disappointing 17-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. The same could be said for their flight back to Texas.

After dropping a critical game in Philadelphia, the 7-8 Cowboys could not board their flight home because their charter plane had mechanical issues, NFL Network's Jane Slater reported. Dallas stayed in Philadelphia until the team could find another plane or wait for repairs.

Slater reported at 10:45 p.m. ET that Dallas' buses were making their way from Lincoln Financial Field to the airport. Beat reporters who were on the team's charter tweeted that the Cowboys finally took off around 11:10 p.m. ET, well after their game ended.

As if Dallas' night couldn't get any worse... On an evening when they could've clinched the division, the Cowboys instead handed control of the NFC East to the Eagles. Dallas now needs to beat the Redskins in Week 17 and needs Philly to lose to the Giants to scratch the postseason and secure a playoff game at home.

On Sunday night, the Cowboys needed more than a win and some help to even make it home.

Meanwhile, the Packers flew Delta after their Monday night win, and apparently had no problems. ;)

AA is using a 777... DL is using a 737-900, presumably in their sports charter config.

Oh, I'm sure those Philly AMT's were quite motivated to repair the 'Boys plane!

Careful,,, PHL has been implicated on here by some, I would tread lightly with tone, and not take the bait. Otherwise some guy from NY will start throwing accusations .

Yeah, maybe they just threw batteries at 'em.

Oh wait.....Eagles won!

Just because they won doesn't mean the PHL fans stopped acting like thugs...

Too bad TWU reps didn't assault IAM reps during the AA/US merger or we might all be unified under one union

I was a steward in PIT at the time.....lotta wide eyed guys in the local over that incident....LOL

Isn't that the same group that a year or so later dropped IAM for TWU and lost representation?

IIRC, they wanted a contract on par to the Mech's even though it was their first ever representation.

So, what ever happened to the 22 men arrested? What ever happened to the people that were fired??
Typical industrial union mentalities.
Only heard armidio was terminated but w his position the union n company at that time had to be held off airport property bec Armidio was not allowed near USAirways. Thought most if not all go their jobs back. This is just from memory

Cowboys will need to really screw up to lose today... but never say never. And, if Eagles hold on to win today, it doesn't really matter what the Boys do...

I'm really happy to see the Patriots sitting at #3 seed. That's the first time in an decade they've had to play wildcard weekend....
