Contract cleaners do a shitty job systemwide.   Now they'll be paid a dollar more an hour for their shitty performance in NYC.

Yeah, not sure what the excitement is about. Isn't this just a vendor giving raises to its workers after being strong-armed by state and local politicians to try and make the case for a raise in the minimum wage?...

Within the next year, we'll probably be hearing about 8% job cuts for all these workers who just got $1 raises (it will probably be different workers being cut, since turnover is so high...)
