And which graph/facts are you wishing to question Mr. Owens?

Performance of any union is mandated by its members.

Ok Pollyanna. And every story has a happy ending too. Show me where the
'members" have control of the TWU. Show me where the "members" have the right here at AA to choose who signs into effect, not witnesses, the contract.

How has AMFA's performance been, would you possess a graph of that also?

Sure, send me the figures. From $25 to over $35 over a five year period shopuld give you a rough idea of what the graph would look like. A steep upward trajectory, as opposed to the TWUs twenty year decline. Your attempts to put the blame on the members is pure TWU. The fact is the leaders led us to where we are, the only thing that the members can be blamed for is not replacing the leadership sooner, in this case it means replacing the TWU since we are not given the right to replace Hall, Little et al within this structure.

Looks like NW has abandoned this thread too. Nothing works better than the facts!

Not that I'm posting as a know it all, but if you look at NW's posts, most are in the early morning and evenings. Some Bob do not live to respond to your rhetoric .

Well I can still count on you Steve cant I?
I'd say a few morning and evenings have passed Steve. Looks like he took off.

Does that reflect the NWA furloughed mechs that have lost their homes, vehicles, and in some cases families? If you want to write a fairy tale you should include all the players.

Nightwatch, with the TWU we won't be able to afford a HOME,VEHICLES, or a FAMILY either! I would rather be laid off(to preserve wages and benefits of those who didn't get cut) and try to find comparable work elsewhere. There is life outside the airline industry. I also would rather come back from layoff with full pay and benefits(AMFA) than come back to a minimum wage job(TWU) with no benefits(TWU)!

I see 50% of NWA emps think just like you, at least the first week of furlough. I wonder how many would rethink that blunder.

And tell us about how many bankruptcies have been filed at the AA Credit Union in Tulsa due to the TWU's believing every word the company spews.

So what are you saying? That there are members that live on the edge of their finances? Say it isn't so brother. That they are new to the industry and have never known it to take a spill, say it isn't so.

Thats right, this industry is known for taking spills.

Its always been that way.

We all knew that and that periodic layoffs were part of the deal. As you got seniority you would be protected during these 'spills'. When you did not have seniority you had to ride out the "spills" but you had a better future to look forward to. However with the TWU there is no "better future". The TWU obviously does not believe in the idea of seniority and members have nothing to look forward to with the TWU because they can never enjoy financial security. Every time the industry takes a "spill" they can now expect massive pay and benifit cuts no matter how many years they have.

The TWU is any company's dream. What company would not love to slash wages, benifits, and layoff as they see fit? Having the TWU is better than having no union at all because once a union is in place its harder to replace a union than it is to get one for the first time.
