Northwest and Delta crews will continue to be staffed on its own equipment until the Federal Aviation Administration issues a Single Operating Certificate. This is expected to happen approximately 12-18 months from now.

2nd JFK-TLV, and JFK-GOT have been postponed indefinetely. Expect more of the announced routes to be postponed/scrapped.

At the bottom of that announcement it reads...

We recognize that while these changes are good for our business and our long-term success, they will require changes for our employees during the transition period until we are able to integrate seniority and align work rules for our combined employee groups.

Yet another lie from Delta management. Even if the seniority was integrated today, Delta flight attendants would not be able to work on NWA planes and vice versa until the FAA issues a Single Operating Certificate. Timeline for that according to Delta management is 12 to 18 months from now.

those two words.."transition period" is not defined in the quote, that can be interpreted as the period in which aircraft are re-deployed(right sizing the fleet to markets that make the most sense) to other hubs during the process of obtaining the SOC(there is not any integration during that time frame)

ATL more than likely will be a satellite base for temporary Purser, LOD, FA and Reserve FA assignment.

Well the first flight start in April, management is clearly implying that until we are able to integrate seniority you will be in a "transition" period. Which is a misleading statement, to try and put the blame on AFA.

Thanks for the update...now we can assume what some of the "new" bases that our crewmembers will possibly get to transfer to in order to work each other's respective aircrafts...Delta crews in DTW, MSP, PDX to fly the 767 and NW crews in ATL, SLC, PDX to fly the A300/747...looking forward to find out the official list of temporary satellite bases...should be out shortly

well look at the list you posted..
I am thinking that is more for the ATL FAs to reassure them.. that this period is only transition until seniority is integrated(because of the aircraft and crew substitutions into their base on International flights)..and eventually all flying will open up for the combined group after the SOC for bidding? so they do not feel they have totally lost their flying because of right sizing the fleet at this time?

regardless.. we are all in transition.. a process of change.

I would think that it would be layover cities and deadheads.

There is a list out...just came out today, with all those cities who will have temporary bases and what the need is.

New PDX DL base
New SLC NW base
New ATL NW base
Expanded SEA DL base

I am thinking that is more for the ATL FAs to reassure them.. that this period is only transition until seniority is integrated
but it has nothing to do with seniority integration, it has everything to do with not operating under a SOC. Even if the seniority was integrated today, you would not see a DL flight attendant fly on a NW plane until the SOC is issued.

Also, JFK-VCE goes to A330...

Good for the NY base if you are a NW flight attendant, not if you're a Dl flight attendant...especially if you are a greek speaker.

but they will be flying the nonstop to NRT in June?... so...I am thinking..its not a real loss for a DAL NYC FA..

I am just happy to see any International added for the NYC base..
