The state designated the Greeley-Weld County Airport an Aviation Development Zone this week, which means aircraft manufacturing companies that locate here can receive state income tax credits.
That's not to say Chicago-based Boeing Company or Toulouse-based Airbus will build a factory in Greeley anytime soon. But now there will be incentives for small manufacturers of general-aviation aircraft and aircraft parts to relocate to Greeley.
