Al Crellin Summoned Out of Retirement

I agree! Gangwal was interested in running an airline. I would take him back over these gang of bafoons any day!

DUMP THE DRIFT WOOD!

We need to get the pilots...flight attendants...all the EMPLOYEES involved and do what the UA folks did in the 1990s AND LEVERAGE a buyout to save this airline!

Rumor has it that they are seeking someone with a strong operational background to join the very Senior level of the Management Team.

Not as a replacement, but an addition to the array of scarry talent they have now.
Heard Tempe has gone Straight to The Top and solicited help/advice/knowledge from ...........none other than RINGLING BROTHER'S BARNUUM & BAILEY.

I like the UA idea of an employee owned airline. Stock prices are way down, airline is in the crapper. Would work if planned expertly.

To avoid the unexpected surprises that put the kabosh on the UAL employee ownership plan you really should compile a history and talk with those directly involved. That way you will get a feel for the (numerous and considerable) potholes in your path.

I'd do it...I'm sure at this point the former UsAir folks would like OUT and perhaps the AWA folks are tired of seeing their side getting dragged down...

This would not be too hard but...if the Unions knew what they were doing ...and we got passengers involved...the loyal ones...we might just pull it off if LCC continues to trade lower into the $20s range.

we can say all we want about Wolf and Gangwal yes WOlf was a Wolf but the two of them did transform US into a dignified airline.. when they were around US won awards for the inflight magazine our Envoy international class and voted TOP airline in 2000 for overall value.. but now thats long ago and with management we have to be the most dysfunctional airline in the business but as long as we make money the BOD is saying. if its not broken why fix it..

Once again by every measureable standard OT,Lost Bags and Pax complaints we are at the bottom of the pile again. When will these idiots open their eyes to see that the driving force behind all 3 is the worst res sytem in the history of modern aviation ,Qik/Shares. If they mean what they say about improvement they need to drop this POS system and get back Sabre to help us save this thing before we do BK#3.

It is more than obvious than neither Parker nor Kirby have any clue how to run an airline our size. Kirby used to work for Sabre, you can't tell me that can't or hasn't seen what a cluster shares has been. He has to know that we made a huge mistake with this and as the chief OPERATING officer it is his job to get this corrected.

Agreed. At least when Wolf and Gangwal were running "The Show" the product was a GOOD product to offer the customer. (Wolf really did offer much in people skills but He knew what was necessary to run an airline- unfortunately He chose not to). The current baffoons are so over their heads that the only thing they have accomplished is match the airline to a POS reservation system that has to make a Caveman laugh. Each day there is always a NEW F up......BRAVO, Well Done!

I guess they should get someone off the street in phl for the job
