ALPA AAA MEC Thread for 8/10-8/17

Looks like Jack is setting up the East to be taken over by the National.

Why even respond to this nut? Anyone who can't see the stupidity in their lastest move has lost complete touch with reality. Come to think of it he has always been out of touch with reality 😉

"Nope: Just fully, finally, and forever sick of little smarmy westies with big mouths, no guts, and nothing to offer. "

Have yourself an AWA "group hug" punk. Congratulate yourselves on the Nic "award"...from all intents and purposes shown...it's the only thing that you've "accomplished" in your lives.

"The good thing I see coming from the Nic fiasco is that it seems highly unlikely that I'll ever be stuck with any of your sorts in "my" cockpit, in any seat other than the jump."

Think I'll take a Pitts out for a drive and clear the AWA punk stench from my nostrils. Have fine day. It's well past not worth my wasting further time on you.

Well hopefully you'll be unemployed soon so the only scent your nose will get will be from the soup kitchens <_< In any event you lost touch with reality long ago!!!

I think the boards have hit a new low with this last exchange.

OK..That's just ENOUGH:

Okay. Tell your fellow pilots to stop as well...

quote name='Tiger 1050' "Keep it up kids. It really makes you look like men..." Given that you're young...it's understandable that you're so concerned with looking like a man, rather than being one but: Hmmm.. evading direct, and honorable challenges makes you look like..well...YOU..and you've my fullest sympathy therein😉 My earlier wager's always open: Be the first on the AWA block to humiliate an evil, and antique Eastie in the sky...be a hero to your pathetic "Righteous Position"...pick up the gauntlet😉

Well contrary to what you may think I was not the one who thought of a "challenge" to prove something. Sounds to me like someone else has issues. I am quite comfortable with who I am...

Fully figures that your response would be such. You run your mouth, throw out condescending insults, claim flying skill, and other imaginary competence on your part....and..as is the standard AWA style for it's "Tigers"...immediately run to momma/slither back under a keyboard, when called out at any level. "Conversation" with your sorts amounts to tolerating the yapping of tiny dogs that bark, then immediately run under the nearest couch...still yapping away. You pathetic little puppies just flat-out make me sick. Take your "Good day little children.." to your shaving mirror...if you actually need and use one that is.

Sorry to hit a nerve but you are free to bypass all of my posts. Particularly the ones that are not directed at you.

"Tiger" ..."I didn't want to bring it up in such a public forum but I want you to know that I think you have a problem." I don't know that any company program's in place that would help anyone who's lack of a spine and a pair places stress in their lives though. Try Dr Phil or Oprah...perhaps they can offer up some "nurturing" for your issues. Failing any interest from them? = You could always seek out AWA320 and the like for a "group hug".

Ahh! Trying for the catch and return move huh? Well it doesn't work. You see a good response needs originality...

Should you ever choose to wonder at why I find your net name so charmingly "pwecious"...try reading an old "textbook"; "Every Man a Tiger"...and no; it's not about some half-azzed toy motorcycle😉
The good thing I see coming from the Nic fiasco is that it seems highly unlikely that I'll ever be stuck with any of your sorts in "my" cockpit, in any seat other than the jump.

Don't be so sure. We may fly together someday. Question is will you know me when you see me.

Fact is everyone here on this board is open game. If you start something then be prepared for the comments headed your way. Why should I treat you easties with any respect when you force BINDING ARBITRATION and then when you don't like the outcome you go crying to anybody who will listen? You guys are not men! No matter how cool you think you are in the cockpit, you are nothing more than a bunch of whiners. If you had collectively come out as a group and said well we tried and this is the outcome we will make the best of it... Then I would have had the utmost respect for all of you. You didn't. So I don't.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That retro pay for all US Airways pilots will take affect starting September 1, 2007, including a fair interest charge of 8% that will be calculated onto any future agreements, and

THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the US Airways MEC authorizes a media campaign, including but not limited to informational picketing and other forms of lawful demonstrations, in order to inform the traveling public of the un-American pay discrimination that the professional union pilots at US Airways have been enduring for the last two years.

ALPO is at is again. All appearance and no substance.

"Retro" pay? WTF Are we supposed to think ALPO means "retroactive" pay and is therefore getting tough? Should we just ignore the fact that ALPA calls for it to start in the future and ignores the "retroactive" part that has been happening for two years?

ALPO is a rotten tree.

Are the same people still hurling the same insults at each other? It got boring for me like a month ago.

B Scale Effort for B scale Pay - There is no excuse for giving over 86%.

Dear Philadelphia Pilots,

The following is a very important CBS message. Make sure you are in full compliance each and every flight.

From: LULKOVICH.T

Subject: Exterior Preflight Inspections

Recently, we have had several crews that have found or who have been aware of aircraft damage and not followed the FOM to have maintenance address the issue before taking the aircraft on the next flight. It is very important that all aircraft damage or maintenance irregularities be evaluated by maintenance before the aircraft is flown. As a reminder, no matter how insignificant the damage may appear, by FAR, pilots are not authorized or qualified to ascertain the extent of damage or tolerance limit. In one instance, the damage was out of limits and had to be repaired before the aircraft could be put back iinto revenue service.

The FOM gives pilots guidance in paragraph 8.3.4 copied below:

If damage is discovered during the exterior preflight inspection, check to see if yellow/gray paint has been placed by the damage. If yellow/gray paint is not present, check to see if the damage has been recorded in the FDML. If it is not recorded in the FDML, contact Maintenance Control prior to making a write-up.

Thank you in advance for your diligence in this matter.

US Airways ALPA BOS MEC F/O Rep. Update - "You'll know what to do." - August 16,2007

BOS Pilots,

Our campaign to reach Pay Parity, as a first step in reaching equivalent value contracts, is now underway.

Additionally, our Pay Parity Resolution (copied below) puts the Company on notice that as of Sept. 1, 2007, if pay parity has not been established, retro pay, with 8% interest, will be owed this pilot group.

This is our fight, and at the moment our fight alone. The West MEC has stated that they will do all they can to stop the Company from bringing us up to pay parity with them, and Parker has said that he's not interested in doing so.

I say it's time to change his mind.

Is it going to be a fight? You bet it will, because "doing the right thing" is only for children's books. In the adult world, there is no "right thing" for those who want your money except for them to keep it.

This fight is now yours. Your MEC has drawn a line in the sand on the Nicolau Award, and it will never be implemented on this property. Your MEC had now drawn a line in the sand on Pay Parity, and we will be relying on you to deliver that message, loud and clear, to Doug Parker.

Why you? Because it's your pay raise. So everyday that you go to work, remember that you're working for far less than your West counterparts, and both they and Parker want to keep it that way. And after you remind yourself of this, in the words of George Patton, "you'll know what to do."

In solidarity,

Garland

Ah...I see the clear difference now. I suppose that were I to employ some similar speech via "you guys are naught but a thieving little bunch of ferrets scurrying about vainly to find yourselves a proper pair of nuts" it wouldn't be "name calling" due to your evidently greedy behavior then? Thank you for clearing that up maestro.

PS: Don't fret on my "soup kitchen" future in the unemployment line....Pitts's, and other fine things in life ain't cheap ya' know...Ummm...I guess you wouldn't know...strike that last

The West MEC has stated that they will do all they can to stop the Company from bringing us up to pay parity with them, ...
And y'all wonder why the Westies complain about your reps lying to you. This is what's known as a lie by omission -- it's an incomplete statement. A more accurate statement reads: The West MEC has stated that they will do all they can to stop the Company from bringing us up to pay parity with them until we re-engage in the JNC process. The West very much wants the East up to pay parity -- but not if you guys are circumventing the joint negotiating process for your own gain. If it isn't obivous, you will fail. In fact, I predict every scheme you try to screw us will fail. You're worse than the APA pilots was in 2001 dealing with TWA. They were selfish but at least they had the leverage to carry out their nefarious plans. You guys don't realize the law and ALPA Policy aren't on your side and you're doomed to fail. The sooner you realize this the better off you'll be.

I think we can figure out why the west MEC is resisting parity without our MEC telling us. The same reason the company is resisting it.

Don't you guys think it is funny that the company said they could operate separately, but now they are not interested? I guess they showed their hand.

I know you guys get mad because you think this fight is slowing down your raise, but the fact is that this disagreement came with the merger and without the merger you would be no where near a raise. How long did your last section 6 take, 4 years? So, I think you will still get your raise sooner than you would have without the merger, and since the company is in a better financial situation, probably a higher raise at that. Of course unless the foot dragging on both sides delays it until the next down turn. I guess that is the risk you guys are willing to take.

Like it or not, this thing has to play itself out. Might as well stop worrying about it.
