Will they just slap a sticker on their planes, or do you think they'll dress it up a little? My thought is sooner rather than later, a brand new corporate livery will be announced, anyway..... 😉

a new livery will be announced very soon. they will not slap a sticker . they will paint the airplane in the new corporate livery to be presented on the day the merger closes. new uniformes will be unveiled shortly there after. mark my words. and no, i do not know what the new scheme will look like . all i can say is that its not dark.

I hope someone will think before they paint!!!!! Dark Color+Airplane+Sun=Hot Airplane!!! Another brainchild by the soon to Ex Usairways Managment Team

Just so long as it's not yet another white livery!

UAL, DL, B6, & CO all look too much alike. It would be a mistake to simply follow the pack. From a marketing perspective, it's better to have a design that will deliver the image that the airline wants to convey and still stand out.

I like this personnally. It represents both companies with class.

Unfortunantly this is the nature of the beast. Most airlines follow each other to the "T". It's almost the "Me Too" syndrom. Match fares, match unforms, match just about everything. It's a totally "generic" business. Since the demise of Braniff...there really hasnt been a STAND OUT airline in Colors, Culture, or business plan.

There's this (once little) outfit out of Dallas called Southwest.

I don't particulary like their colors, but they do stand out, as does their culture and business plan.

For that matter, US stands out. Very classy, business minded design. However, with two hubs in the desert, the dark blue is a problem. Personally, I would keep the same livery with just a lighter shade of blue.

Looks alot like this:

Rumor around here is that the new livery will be red, white and blue - but mostly white.

Makes sense considering white is cheap

As for HP's "theme" planes they will be repainted with new sponsers

Where are the "Speedbird" and the "Smile"?

How about bringing back the smile AND the "hot pants" on the f/a's.......

Keep in mind that most of US flight attendants are in the 40's and 50's. Watch what you wish for.
