Might just as well forget about the old "More room in Coach" that we had. As far as the aft lavs go, the average person will have to drop their drawers in the isle and back in.
I don't care if they stand on their heads. These aircraft will require a 4th FA, just like the new ones, because of the extra seats. That will go a long way toward getting me and my fellow furloughees recalled. August bids show 258 domestic lines with the new 737's (code B9) and 302 with the old (B8).Might just as well forget about the old "More room in Coach" that we had. The company will staff all 737's, including those not yet converted, with 4 FA's effective Oct 1. This solves operational problems when a 3-FA aircraft drops off a crew to layover and a 4-FA aircraft comes in the next day, leaving the crew one short. This will add hundreds of positions literally overnight.
