Even if the TWU has filed to represent the entire Classes and Crafts their would have been 30 days for an intervenor to step in.

Just because of the sheer size of our groups it would be absolutely impossible to gain all of those cards in such a short window of time.

Personally even a year which is the current time frame for signed cards to drop off is too short for the size. Just look at how long they’ve been trying at Delta FA’s and Ramp.
the twu could have used the same trick "dues check off cards" for interest in representation. instead they elected to use the dues check off cards to form the association. at the time jim little was terrified they would loose an election. any election.

Not a trick. No tricks. Those are the rules. A trick implies something that is done shadily and there was nothing done shadily since the NMB certified even after the 591 Legal protest the Association of both Unions as our bargaining representatives.

I’m never going to understand why and particularly when we do have other things far more important to talk about we have to fall back into this conversation here that you already know quite well though?

Maybe John Samuelsen (maybe) would have defied the will of the AFL/CIO and done just that (maybe) Deep down I’m going to say that I doubt it though. He probably would have written a more favorable deal recognizing our size over the IAM though? That’s about it IMO.

Irrelevant though. Can you explain why we have to constantly continue to rehash this here though where it doesn’t matter?

Too many guys on here retread crap going all the way back to 1983 (36 years ago) just because I think they enjoy arguing?

Who cares.

Medical:

Not that I have a major problem with keeping the Medical I have right now and paying that cost. What I do have a problem with is the Association not being able to audit AA’s costs and putting some type of cap or shared limited percentages on what we get put on the hook for.

As I've said before, the monthly cost isn't the difference between the plans. The deductible and max out of pocket costs are the killer. I still think that all of the workgroups combined should make a serious effort to get the company to lower those costs.

I understand and my thoughts would fall into all of those categories. Monthly payments, Deductibles, What the plans cover, Are the costs subsidized by PT, Prescriptions, Etc?

Even with the Station, Status and System Protection in place with a 40% PT Cap and those Members somewhat subsidizing our costs we know for a fact the Company WILL absolutely try to hit that 40% Red Circle on the nose.

Granted that there is a part of me that likes between the Swap Shifts restrictions and the Higher Medical it motivates PT Members to want to gain FT and we wind up with more employees not worried as much about their other jobs and focused on this one.

People like him never think that way. We had a great CBA at NW, but still did a TON of work not covered as well. That led to a lot of jobs, but also a lot of $$$ for those interested in picking up the hours.

As for Crew Chiefs, I can't imagine them not being a working part of the crew. I was one for most of my career, and I can't imagine just staying inside while my team did the work. "Window chief" is one of the worst things you can be called here...
Yeah if people would just do their jobs they would have nothing to worry about.Im here a long time and never experience what rat and robbed are going through.Sure we had ahole managers but they didnt last long and two of the biggest aholes were AA mangers that are no longer here, arrogant pricks

I can guarantee your CC,s won’t like it.Hell I wouldn’t either if I had the gig they’ve had. Better hope that defined half hour lunch you guys enjoy stays, or you’ll be shoveling it down best way you can like can happen here.
Odd when sort of merged still seperate metal we adopted AA CC ways before that yes leads were running around Some leads that is

Are any of you having to do this scripted turn bs they are pushing here?

If u mean the bias training yes. If quick turns well i dont necessarily do quick. Just work it safely

They got some program or another going on .They lost me years ago with.Higher Ground" but im.in the bagroom to be honest

This isn't resolved yet. There may be negligence involved as well but the withdrawal fee can also be disputed. Weez says that the company botched its valuation of the IAM Pension. That isn't true. The company is smarter and has all the necessary financial documents that I attained.

The IAM is fighting against us on this. If we could, we would choose to opt out of this pension. Because even if the company is stuck paying the 10% surplus, we still go down to $39. The company doesn't have to withdraw at all if it negotiates $0 or .02 in the plan and then a 401k for 9%. The only change would be the contribution %. The problem is that the IAM still has the 5% IAM Pension on the table.
Just a reminder the Company Pension at LAA is frozen.

What a great argument you make. Were you the guy who suggested AA take money away from PIT or were you one of the guys who clapped for it? It doesn’t matter, we can all see what type of person you are.

Dallas is only 20% higher cost of living then Tulsa.
I am quite sure this is not the guy that attacked PIT. If he should up it would be a TWU Love Fest.

Sounds like my station. I've never seen such a s**tstorm.
I'm at DFW, and we will be in 4 terminals with added flights in June. They have us scanning bags at a bizarre rate that is making the job take a lot of extra time. Next they want to add flights and use these unreliable scanners to avoid adding manpower. Crash and burn time. I can't even believe this stuff I'm seeing. If this is going on system wide, all I can say is soon we'll be behind Frontier.
