Well, to be fair all that is what the company put out with comparisons to other industry contracts. It makes no mention of the associations positions. So, if you ask me they havent put out anything, just rah rah shis chum ba stuff.

You didn’t read through it then. They do state their positions and their asks AND BTW this was posted by TWU Local 591, not the Association.

Maybe all along it was the ASS who didn't have a proposal? Just telling the company what they want verbally? Like they accuse the company of doing?
The company releasing their proposals and supposals was a godsend. And pretty damn fast at that. So why is the association taking so taking so long?

Do you want the Association to cobble together something like the Company did where it looks like it’s a full completed Contract which we all know is not what we received.

TWU 591 made it pretty clear how much of the language from the Company was incomplete or unacceptable.

Again go back on all those dates Metal. They were all different and as a matter of fact some were 2 years old.

So what you/we got was what the Company cobbled together from anything they last proposed in writings.

we dont care about what they state, you and them said they would put out the proposal so we can read and make our own statements.
The company did, so should your handlers.

Current proposal from company is a sham of propaganda. I believe if voted on it would fail miserably bec of scope. Medical n host of other issues. Cant wait til i see a worse proposal from mgmt than last one
We should vote though, Robbed.
I think its a big yes for fleet but if it is a big no then the company knows where we collectively stand.

Briefing for 5-12-19

UPDATE: Hi everyone. Even though we don't have negotiations scheduled anytime soon, there will be plenty of things happening this week to stay tuned for. First the Association will be putting out a video in response to the companies proposal they put out on jetnet. I don't know at this time if our written proposals will be put out for all to see, or if the video will compare the two proposals ( company & union ) and that's it. Either way, I ask all of you to pay attention to when the video is released and take the time to listen to what the association has to say.

You have heard me say many times that it is important to stay educated and informed during these times. Do Not be going on hearsay. But find out the facts from the people that know what's going on.

Many of you have had the time now to look over the companies proposal. Something that I hope all of you noticed is that the scope proposal the company put out was dated July 2018. As I have said in previous email briefs, once you get to a certain point in negotiations, many of the discussions are not put in writing, they are just discussed across the table until the two sides get close, and then you would see another proposal put in writing. The fact of this date on the companies last written proposal should tell everyone, just how far apart we are on the just the scope issue alone.

Again, I ask all of you to stay tuned for the Associations response video coming out this week. I will be able to go into more detail next briefing after the video.

PENSION: Another thing going on this week that is of big interest to our members is the meeting with the pension board. All of us full time union reps will be meeting in Chicago this coming Thursday with the Pension board members. They will be there to discuss the latest developments on our pension, and also to take and hopefully answer all of our questions. I can assure you all that this meeting will be a pretty intense meeting as I know they will have much explaining to do to all of us full time reps. Again, I will have much more on this issue on my next briefing. Just wanted to get on here tonight and let everyone know what's coming up this week.

EVERYONE HAVE A GOOD AND SAFE WEEK
Mark Baskett

You were just saying last week on Jetnet that it looks to you like it’s a big no.

You really are schizophrenic.

Wasn't it enough for the members to see how bad it is?
The ASS should have had theirs ready to go as well. They were crying wolf that the company had nothing. Doesn't matter how fast it came out. Now EVERYONE can see how unacceptable it is.

I assume he is talking about the IAM pension? If so, it seems he could care less about LAA frozen pension.

And you don’t think the Company was so adamantly pushed to release what they were offering as part of a larger game plan for everyone to officially see for themselves just how chitty all of it was?

C’mon Metal why don’t you just ONCE support your Negotiators?

You were just saying last week on Jetnet that it looks to you like it’s a big no.

Yes on "Jetnet". Perspective dear Weez. But I guess nobody can stop you from taking things out of context. But admittedly, the company proposal had some strong points that the union persons claimed were fake and it blinded a lot of members. So who really knows how a vote would go? Robbed could be right. Either way, the company needs to know where the employees stand. And the whole alleged "Switch on" campaign, is just typical collateral damage for the company, according to Fly, that hasn't affected things as much as some may think. Peterson has lost control of his mechanics, especially nobody in TUL likes him.

I assume he is talking about the IAM pension? If so, it seems he could care less about LAA frozen pension.
The "Pension Problem" is what is holding up everything. The IAM will never truly allow the company to get out of the plan by virtue of a CBA.

And here we go again. Mark Baskett is the IAM AGC for CLT. The IAMNPF just announced benefit cuts and his members (In CLT) are asking questions for what that all means. So he’s gathering that information for HIS Membership (In CLT) to try to give them some answers.

That update was put out for HIS Membership. I just shared all of it here.

Stop looking for the them vs us in everything that’s posted.

You’re making 90% of all of that up in your own head.

You flip floppers are incredible. You and Mr Baskett originally said that you guys are readying up the full text of the union proposal. Now, back peddling. So, as it turns out, just another video bad mouthing Parker? Is it going to be like the last video where it lied when Billy Wilson said when and where directed included bag room and bag running? Will Mr Baskett lie again and say that all express bag running and express work in CLT is under our scope?

Which is it? Members wanna know

regards,
LMFAO!!! Thanks for the laughter weezal. Allow me to repost the part that I am referring to;

"You have heard me say many times that it is important to stay educated and informed during these times. Do Not be going on hearsay. But find out the facts from the people that know what's going on."

Even later on in this letter he even says, "I can't go into any further details until after an upcoming meeting." Really? At the same time he says to be informed and not listen to rumors. Now that is just some funny shite!!!

I see the association is now putting out more detailed information on negotiations. One wonders why?
And look who it took to get this "more detailed" information out there. Not the officers, not the asso., not the membership, but it was in fact the co. that forced them to get more info out, how pathetic.

Bottom line is we all know there will never be two competing proposals to vote on so the Ass should not even say that.
Also as Tim says there is a real chance what is being offered now could become worse the longer this lingers.
We all should know every time we go through negotiations the company has a total dollar number in mind.
So how does the Ass get to that number and be satisfied?
I wish I knew because they seem quite dysfunctional .
I say get the companies proposal in total and put it out to us all for votes. If it’s so bad then we as members will vote it down, if the majority vote for it than it’s done but we deserve a voice that we don’t seem have now. Otherwise we will continue down this he said she said and we will continue to loose out on better pay and benefits.
The long summer doesn’t sound good to me that the union seems to want to promote. I want a vote
That's what you get with this abortion of an asso. that is forced down your throats.
Like Rogallo says, have you had enough yet???
