So if you want something put out for a vote, you are desperate. But if you want the Association to hold back, you are waiting on something you can vote yes on. Does that mean once you see something you like and will vote yes on you then become desperate?

There are two types of votes, yes and no. So freaking simple. If it's put out for a vote and it passes by 80%, does that mean 80% desperate folks out voted the 20% who never saw anything to vote yes on.

I'm simply blown away by some peoples rhetoric. If the Association does their job and convinces the members the proposal really sucks, then there shouldn't be any worries.

In reality, I think the desperate ones are the ones who are lobbying here and elsewhere not to put it out for a vote.
That fear seems quite obvious.

And just a little side note, although some folks say they don't see or hear it, I would say a ratio of about 90%-10% the folks I talked to yesterday and today want something to vote on. To be fair, they are 100% TWU.

Gulfcoast,

"I agree. I also want more info on the PT ratio. That could hurt a lot of people. That is my first concern. Could anyone be forcibly downgraded in their current station?"

To me this is the thing I want clarified more than any other thing. I would think it's a pretty forward question the Association can ask AA and the response should be simple and straight forward. To keep you in your station does not mean you must go part time.

Wanting to vote on something and wanting to vote on this “cover letter “ are two different stories altogether.

Updates out (Association) I just don't have the ability to post it...if it hasn't been already.

what do you consider 'close enough' in age anyway...??

to me, if you're 61-62-63, you're staying. there's a few guys i know in their mid 50s, originally from down south. these guys want to leave and were telling me that $80k and they are going back home.

these guys are TOS, 32-31 years seniority. if the company wants what they perceive to be dead weight to leave, $65k won't do the trick.

They’ll shake some people out with those offers. Of course if they had/have a Pre 65 Bridge in any offers they come out with, they’ll get a ton more takers.

My point over these long last few months has been that if the Association didn't pick it up with more substantive updates, the frustration levels would rise and an emotional vote could take place. It seems there is a misunderstanding of the sentiment that has been ignored but has built up and the airline is taking advantage of it.

Even on these pages, there was little appetite to talk about the tough issues we'd inevitably face. All we heard was optimism and dates for finish lines that never came, declarations of great progress. Now some of those same people are on the pages imploring everyone else to slow down and look at the details? We've been trying to do that over the last several months and at this point, the frustration level is only rising.

There is a total lack of trust for the Association from what I can see, and it's getting worse. People don't want to read updates telling the company to shove it. They want to see updates with numbers explaining the job losses and FT/PT % and other financial facts. If they would update these things and where they stand in the industry people would have more patience with the process.I doubt this company offer is industry leading, but the members at LAA which is all I could comment on, want to see it. The lack of trust in the Association is pretty extreme which is what you get when you force stuff on people without a vote. I don't trust them for that matter.

Who’s the “We’ve”?

And MAN boy oh boy do you like to repeat yourself. Is there a purpose you have in repeating your narrative over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over?

BTW I’m on multiple Facebook Group pages. I posted the new offer from the Company and where people could see more of it and today the Association response was posted and I’m just waiting and waiting to read from all these “frustrated” people that are supposed to be out there? Where the hell are they?

NYer says it was a good thing that the Association was forced down the Members throats without a vote. Jim Little said there would be a vote and there wasn’t. NYer has no problem with that because it was Jim Little.

But NYer is also critical of the Association?????

Why don't you show us in writing where NYer said that. We'll be waiting patiently.

Man O Man just wonderful to read all of those NOT Frustrated people on Jetnet under the comments section who aren’t clamoring at all against the Association but are still pretty damn pissed off at the Company.

You should go read those comments NYer. I think it could warm your heart?

Again with the “We’ll” Who the hell is we’ll? Are you Sybil?

NYer was a massive supporter of anything and everything Jim Little. Jim and his team could do and never did any harm in his mind. He still sends Christmas cards to Jim down in the Caribbean and hopes to one day be invited out on the yacht.

NYer was ecstatic that we didn’t have to vote for the Association. Absolutely beside himself giddy.

Still is.
