"Again... DIVIDE AND CONQUER... but at X 10!"

This Describes EXACTLY The ASSOCIATION TO A TEE because it was FORCED on Us by One Richard Trumka.

The Association Is A HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE!
Maybe sometime I'll post what I really think of THE Association..

Tim: didn't Roach want carriers organized before consolidation hoping that they could avoid representational elections? Hence your work at AirTran and the IAMs multiple failed attempts at DL.

Josh
Roach didn't have a clue. I circled AirTran and we won that in 14 months. The reason why I circled it was that it was all tied in together with reservations and Airtrain never thought I could pull it off. Jerry Glass tried to clobber me on that drive but I made sure I went to the NMB and sat next to his F&H Solution woman and watched her bury her head in her papers. This win, preserved all unions on the ground at Southwest. AirTran would have been used to bleed Southwest unions into submission. But yea, I won all 5 organizing drives I organized. I was the only director ever who all the voters knew. The Teamsters tried unsuccessfully to organize AirTran for 10 years, losing massively. The IAM under stasis was a complete disaster. Losing everything with a big goose-egg. Just like the previous 20 years before I came along and won 45,000 IAM members. It became aggravating because as I organized thousands, we had very very stupid AGC's and Presidents who were just politicians and didn't know the first thing about negotiations or representation.

I am the Lebron James of Union Organizing. After we win the INTL election, I'll clean up and win Boeing SC and Airbus Alabama fairly easy. The Delta stew campaign may become interesting but I'll eliminate the JetBlue organizing madness. I'm also not convinced of the Delta ramp but I'll have to see if we made any commitment to them.

Some people on this thread have to revert to name calling because they cannot debate a point with any amount of reasonable intelligence.

"The Honey Badger doesn't give a ****."

When you have contractual language, it’s better than a company policy that can be changed or taken away in a blink

This isn’t always true...there is a cost associated to every article...ie, if the cost of the “shift trade” is 4 million due to administrative issues, that could translate into a .20/hour...as a policy it would be subject to change but it’s free...

I've heard much worse spoken on the ramp Rusty. The arrangement set up without a vote was destined to fail. Reaching an agreement with mgmt that just takes advantage of the situation seems like a real long shot. Then you go into section 6 and lots of people I've spoken to feel we all get a worse deal. It looks like a lost opportunity we had the past few years with the company making billions. You would like to think we can get a deal, but I don't see it. Years down the road this will be looked at like a failed experiment.

But leaving it as a policy also leaves it at the whim of Management subject to change.

I recall the AA CS Policy was far more liberal when I started in 95 than it is today.

Although yes I would highly doubt it but I never want to see the day that the Company discontinues the Policy outright so I prefer it secured even if we have to pay for that. Like everything else in our Contract too.

NYer I know you’ll be out there and read this tomorrow morning so.

I find myself very very “frustrated” at the moment and can use your help if you’re cool with that?

I can’t seem to find that MOU with the list of Stations that would have been saved had Parker needed to force a hostile takeover of AMR and the TWU supported that.

I’d like to discuss that list of closed cities.

No such thing.

Yes there was. Remember the language that stated they would not close a list of Stations if they weren’t already closed because of the Bankruptcy.

I clearly remember the writing at the time and saying there was a slim chance in hell of it happening.

To happen there needed to be initiated a hostile takeover that we had to support.

The Creditors didn’t agree with a hostile takeover though which wasn’t needed and they wanted to hear the Competing plans one being from AMR (Cornerstone) the other being from Parker and team.

If you guys think the Company did this on their own. You do not know your representation.
Sito and Alex have had closed door meetings with Parker and Isom, these enhancements are the result.
They have not included the negotiating committee, but will tell them that this will need to be put out for vote and let the members decide.
A vote no will give us more leverage. (knowing very well this will pass with flying colors on AA side).
These enhancements where discussed with Sito and Alex before being sent out.
They are lying to you if you think their tough talk against the company is legit.

You will get to vote on the ASSociation remember!!!!

HAD ENOUGH YET.

Now I could use the help of any IAM Member who has a list of cities that are IAM staffed that correlate with this list.

This list of cities that we lost, 30 in all affected losing approximately 1390 work locations (Jobs)

The ones where IAM is not staffed I’d like to see reopened once again for the collective.

Ok so you think they’re in cahoots with the Company but yet commissioning Ridge Global and Tom Ridge to write a scathing report on Aircraft Maintenance outsourcing, bashing Parker and Isom in Town Halls, flying banners over Golf games of Parker and John Samuelsen going on Local PHL TV news for a 7 minute broadcast embarrassing AA anyway?

Wow I’ll tell you man if you’re right then this Company has one steel set of Cajones to play this act on all of us. Damn man wow.
