That’s what I pay a union for to fight to the last day. The twu gave way to much up in 03. More then airlines did in bk. Then in 12 the twu gave away the rest of the store . If the twu would of put snap back in it but they didn’t even do that we gave and arpey and the upper management got there big bonuses. And befor the 03 deal carty was caught with a golden parachute , so if management was in that bad of shape in 03 they should of filed . The twu lies scared people into voting in both contracts .I will tell you this about AMFA they talk a good game. If they are at a healthy company they can get you a descent contract. But if your company gets in trouble they will fight to the last day. Instead of working with management. They have no strike fund. Most of the dues money goes to the lawfirm Seham. Everytime you suggest to try to shop for a new lawfirm you will be shot down. It takes forever to get a full blown contract done. You guys would be better off, starting an independent mechanics union, ran by American Airlines mechanics, plus whatever work group you want to put in there. Just like our pilots have SWAPA.
The fight to the last day, is full pay to the last day. They would rather you lose your job, then you take a pay cut. So you kept your job with the TWU. Then they will walk away just like Northwest. I have friends that worked at both United and Northwest, ask them about AMFA, I rest my case. That’s what I pay a union for to fight to the last day. The twu gave way to much up in 03. We do have IAM fleet in ATL, roughly 66 members.

Why do you keep misleading readers here by posting links to the PBGC, which has NOTHING to do with the IAMNPF? Could it be for Tim's political agenda?https://www.pbgc.gov/news/press/releases/pr18-02

Why would anyone fight for a Pension that will become Insolvent in 7 years or less?

Well it was less when they originally assigned the Stations to who would be their Masters.

We have asked and talked to them. 99% say they were forced to strike by the co. because they were wanting to fire over 53% of the workforce. They also say, At least AMFA fought instead of caving in to the co's demands. When a co. is asking for over 53% of the workforce you are just asking for an overwhelming strike vote. It was all planned out by NWA management. What they found out was that it all did not turn out like they planned and NWA now no longer exist. You have no case to rest driver. Nice try though...The fight to the last day, is full pay to the last day. They would rather you lose your job, then you take a pay cut. So you kept your job with the TWU. Weez that info is old and from 2013. BOS will be both IAM and TWU.

Thank goodness for that. Although I am hoping for a new TWU hat. Either 512, 513 or 568 because 510 has got to go, and imo asap
If that ever happens I’d guess it could be a toss up in geographic location between 513 and 568?
There was talk of consolidation but I haven’t heard much recently.
Got to finish the JCBA talks first I suppose?
