I doubt that I told you that any of the actual in the room or have been in the room Negotiators are not credible sources of information.

On here (IMO) the only “100%” credible sources of information because we know who they are, are Charlie Brown and P. Rez.

(I personally find Racer X and Filter credible too)
weez, will alex and you still support my strategy to revisit negotiations after the May count? Would Alex want fleet or mx?

W, do you just pick and choose what YOU feel is relevant. I specifically stated I wanted to know if anymore negotiations were discussed and/or setup at the two day meeting. I know the Ass and Parker discussed more meetings in the video's, but was anything worked out in that regards in this low level meeting. That's my specific question I want answered with a update W, and I think it's a reasonable one.

It’s 100% reasonable to expect consistent updates.

By not putting them out, the Association is creating a vacuum that the company is all too happy to fill with their own narrative.

Nothing personal guys, but it's such a battle to keep the forum on track when guys are at each others throats. But throw in pure political talk (exactly what belongs in the Water Cooler), and it's almost a waste of time to even try and discuss AA/Association negotiations.

Valid point, but I do think that it’s important to shine a light on those that work to get us all to act against our best interests.

Why Facebook is a much better avenue to stay on topic. Yesterday morning I was debating the subject of one of Marks postings and a man who works here in MIA was propelling the agenda of my Local President rather than staying on topic.

I eventually just blocked that individual and the conversation was able to get back on track.

And on Facebook I have Tim blocked so I believe that’s why he tries to get at me on here.

Forums has zero true ability to maintain order and the current Admins don’t really even seem to care.

Have you ever tried to post on A.Net or FlyerTalk? The moderation is MUCH more heavy-handed there.

Kev I would ask you what more you need that they haven’t provided but # 1 I haven’t gotten a straight answer to this question from anyone yet and # 2 well you know.

They used to be MUCH more heavy-handed here way back. And it was MUCH better here then and had FAR more participants too because of that.

the company has provided all the information. All baskett posted was that he really didnt know what was going on and that whatever happened could have happened over a 5 minute phone call.

Sito sadly did not inform Mr Baskett.

You running the show and all I’m kind of surprised he didn’t call you?

Not official, not from the Association in Update format and more often than not, as specified by this individual, a lot of his postings are his opinion only.

The Association puts out an update to say that the only official updates come from the Association.

Then we get information from individuals that pass as Association updates but they really aren't.

Then they preach solidarity and working together but the updates are a patchwork of what some want to release while the official forum doesn't say a peep for days. We've been saying over and over that there is a disconnect with the information being received and the expectation of the members to support the very entity that doesn't share information in a timely fashion but gets annoyed if someone from the airline does.

The best way to counter the airlines' words is to share information before they do, not to tell people to ignore what they tell you even though we're not giving you anything either.

AANOTOK the question “I” have for the posters here is all encompassing not just specific to this one little meeting. NYer has been on here for well over a year now claiming that the Association has been giving pretty much consistently terrible updates so I’m trying to find out in general what that means and if that’s true from others?

Obviously they haven’t and aren’t going to put out updates with all the information on items they’ve TA’d and the Company who people claim is giving them better information hasn’t done that either. So how the Company has been giving people better information I’m left scratching my head on?

AANOTOK I think you’ve gotten to the point where you believe that everything I write is directed towards you here. It’s not. I’m really seriously trying to finally get a good answer from ANYONE as to what is missing that they need and also wondering if what people need (want) is something that can be provided to them?

As far as what Mark wrote. Mark is the AGC of the largest IAM AA Fleet Group at AA and has been a part of Negotiations since day 1 also including the IAM Standalone agreement. (The equivalent of Fa at DFW) I find his “opinions” far more credible than anything someone else who avoided his positions responsibilities for over 2 years has to say absolutely.

And as far as what’s going to be in the next update if they even put out one I have zero clue.

But again I want to understand what information provided by the Association to us has been so terrible? I’m still not getting a specific answer from anyone and I think I know why.
Play it down to a little meeting for some it was a last hope the association is an abomination it just plain sucks

I have ZERO dealings with anyone connected with those “Official” updates. I take what I can find wherever I can find it and I share it with you here.

If people are starving for information like NYer “claims” then I have to say it’s absolutely unbelievable that when information is provided to them from wherever the source but it’s “GOOD” information that that information is basically pissed on.

Personally I VERY MUCH appreciate these extra pieces from Mark, P. Rez, Gary, Dale and even Fa.

I don’t care if the Association updates say that they’re the only place you should go to get information BTW. Those 5 people I mentioned are actually ON the Negotiations Committee’s and should be viewed as completely credible.
On the negotiation committee but not anywhere near the last meeting

actually, nobody other than Sito or Alex have seen the full company proposal. The negotiation committees are told a recap. The company has called the association bull crap by correcting some clean lies by Sito. The union is saying the company is lying. Both cant be correct about some things so someone definately is lying. We dont know because we have been given 3rd hand play by play, by both.

So are you saying that these International Reps, President’s and AGC’s can’t or shouldn’t share their opinions to their members on the Negotiations?

These individuals have been gracious enough to grant us permission and access to share and now you’re claiming that they are trying to pass off those writings as official Association updates?

If you feel that’s a hinderance than it’s now “officially” time for you to silence your opinions as well wouldn’t you agree? People could become confused that something you write may be an official Association update as well.
