I don't want info from 2015 I would like current info. Do you honestly think things haven't changed in the last three years.

Many of the closed TA items I’m sure changed but we have 2 Fleet Negotiators who come here and have stated in the past that much of the language has been improvements.

As for the rest maybe you’re right and they should reconfirm their positions from the original proposals.

Remember though whether you believe them or not the Negotiations have been very vocal that they have never received an official counter proposal for the one they gave the Company a few months ago during the Johnson incident.

They just went and started making on line “supposals” rather than tabled “proposals”

There is no reason not to share the specifics of a t/a'd item. If it was agreed upon by both the company and NC let the membership see it.

Don’t see what that would change then unless you believe the Association should capitulate and accept what the Company is supposedly offering?
Seems to me the Ass went on the defensive right away they should have attacked and demanded more jobs right away. Why are we talking/taking concessions in this enviroment?

bro, the update is telling and also signifies explicitly how the company is dominating things.

"We tested the company"
Really? LMFAO

These morons asked the company if it would consided moving off its demands. Say What?

And the company shot back the obvious "No".

This letter HIGHLY SUGGEST a vote directly on the company offer as the company will push the union leaders aside and not even need a TA.

The vote will be 95% yes and you can flush your health care down the toilet.

I personally wouldn’t mind reading all the details both good and bad. But could it cause more aggravation if people don’t like particular parts or if we can’t vote on it?

Look at yourself. You want to vote on something that hasn’t even been offered officially and are pissed as hell that you can’t.

Do you mean that they should have anticipated that the Company would make a play for some work and jump the gun prior to making that assumption?

I dont mean this to be funny or sarcastic but it seems the union is so used to be in the bent over position thats how they started off.The company sensed blood and went for the kill

I don’t know Al all I see is that they’re still negotiating. Only speaking for myself and on the surface without the fine print for Fleet I don’t think the two sides are that far apart from striking a deal if the real willingness exists?

And maybe you really believe otherwise but take all those pesky Unions out of our GRUNT work and no way do we get anywhere close to what we’re making today.

It might but the NC can't be scared if some of the members are P****** off. No matter what there is always gonna be some backlash, if the NC cannot take some criticism from the members, then they need to resign. The contract should be about the membership as a whole not just the ones who scream the loudest.

And I might not be pissed as hell if I wasn't kept in the dark, in the end it's up to me to get all the information and use that to decide what's best for me.No info is no bueno!!!

Agree. The company is winning the PR war because the ASS is to bogged down with to many different agendas. I have talked to alot of people at my station and everyone i've talked to except the union reps want to vote.
It feels like a combination of things. The blundering Association unable to create negotiating movement due to the different agendas, and the company which is not without blame for not making any movement either. The company is enjoying their position and I don't believe they care about getting a deal done. The TWU however is having many members start to understand the severity of the position the TWU has put them in. Not good. Will get worse.

Mike this sounds like us last year. Well guess what we finally got an AIP April 10 th, 2018.-But guess what we still don't have a T/A to look at. Last week we were told, should be this week. Now we are hearing rumors that the company doesn't just want to hand over 91 million dollars to the union if we get a T/A voted in. The Union still has not presented the distribution formula. So we wait.

Im not talking unions Im talking this association and I think we could be years away both sides are dug in deep the only way is to somehow force a vote like Tim suggests although I dont see the update saying that

so they talked about a few minor ta's. They clarified that the uniform article means shorts now and they clarified the representation article since management wanted to get a better understanding on who the hell is representing and where.

The union dopes tested the company by asking pretty please if they could kindly discuss major issues. Most likely, after a backhand and a hell no, management ended the meeting telling alex "Whose your daddy now?"

How can you say both sides are dug in deep when the Company already moved off their first online supposal just 2 weeks ago?

Forcing a vote? How?

The Company is trying to apply pressure absolutely. But being 100% honest I’m not seeing them gain much traction. I’m sure you read the Comments on Jetnet/ Workbrain and there hasn’t been any uproars on Facebook anywhere either. Minor squabbling sure.

Am I missing something somewhere Al?
