Ok so again I have to harp over and over on the fact that you should be in Management Al. Seniority is something that you benefit from in your contract. You “claim” that’s the only reason you stay in the job you’re in right now?

I’d have to honestly call you a liar then Al.
That's not the only reason the main reason is I got a pretty easy gig.Why would want to.do something different now.?

Oh and obviously we don’t think alike Al. I have kind words for both the Unions and the Company I work for where you say you don’t have any kind words for one.

To use Union parlance:

Duly Noted.

I think I'm going to dislike your union even more using your dues money to take out ads supporting Cuomo no fn way

Although I “think” you would have it anyway. Seniority is only protected under an Employment Contract Al. And the only way really to have an Employment contract for what we do is if it came with a Union.

I’ll ask you this again. If there were no Unions in our industry (Like retail sales) do you think that you would be making anywhere near what you and I make right now?

And love them or hate them but in our industry for what we do for the last 70 years there really have been only 2 choices. The IAM or the TWU.

(I don’t give in Al)

“COPE does not and cannot use member dues for political activity.

What COPE Does:

  • COPE distributes thousands of congressional voting records and helps educate union members on the issues so they can be informed voters.
  • COPE endorses candidates on the basis of their record and/or their program, not on the basis of their party affiliation.
  • COPE urges every union member and voting-age member of his or her family to vote!
What COPE Does Not Do:

  • COPE does not tell anybody how to vote.
  • COPE does not force union members to contribute to the fund.
  • COPE does not use dues money in the form of contributions to political candidates.
  • COPE does not force members to participate in its programs within their local or their community.
Donate to COPE today to make sure your voice is heard in Washington. For more information, contact Andrew Rangolan, COPE & Political Field Representative.”

*There is no limit on how much money TWU members can contribute to COPE; it is strictly voluntary. However, the amount we contribute to a federal candidate is mandated and strictly enforced by the Federal Election Commission.

TWU took out radio ads endorsing Cuomo here in N.Y. a lot of them .So you are saying Samuelson took the money out of his pocket or the TWU has another source of income

I'll take it further I don't want to be any part of a union that endorses the liberal ideology so after I vote on a joint contract and rotating shift policy I will become a dues objector along with thousands of others who's medical will be going through the roof.I encourage all to watch Tim's soon to be produced video also hope he posts the company proposal

I produced it yesterday. I have to review it and maybe edit but it should be live soon enough. Having 2,000 'when and where' directed jobs down the toilet wouldn't be good but I suspect that the company is pretty comfortable keeping everything the same as the TWU continues to subsidize us at LUS stuck in their bankrupt contract. I mean, weezle at least is a capitalist even if he knifed his own in the back. At least he is getting something out of it. Otherwise, the company won't move, it will be like 'deadwood' so it's up to the union to just toss this thing in section 6 and then after a few years see what happens, or allow a vote. The company don't give a rats ass and is actually focused on the pilots and stews at this point. Having the TWU subsidize us is fine by Uncle Jerry.

Yes thanks TWU for subsidizing my medical and holidays and for those stuck in one of your 17 cities waiting to go home to a US city let it be known the Association is doing everything possible

Tim I guess we can really mail it in from here at least until the 2nd year of section 6

You certainly like to claim “I” (And others) said many things never said. Very insulting behavior on the part of a co worker towards other co workers.

Anyway FYI you’re getting attention again today. And we all know how much you love attention.

BTW, I really like Jimmy Tonya dude. But he was one of about 25 in my group that wanted me booted off of brother Duffy's site because they didn't support my views against this miserable union.
OTOH, my page is uncensored and that is why it is the largest. It supports all views and is 'clear thinking'. It's rules of common decency are only at play insomuch that personal shots and crude language are grounds for the cornfield. Jimmy took personal unprovoked shots at me as well as some guy named Santos. They join the roughly 3 dozen posters of ill repute in the metaphorical cornfield. Out of 5,800, less than 1/2 of 1% manage to get themselves sent to the cornfield. Jimmy disagreed with me all of the time, and was fine, but his latest outburst with personal shots simply was a breach of the longtime rules.

Notice, he conveniently leaves out PHL which was estimated at 850. Yes, there will be job loss in CLT, if the company chose. Toss in 300 additional from around the system and it's about 1,200. Toss in 3rd shift work parking planes, moving planes, cleaning planes. That approaches 20%. I shouldn't have to point these things out but Mr Baskett has an agenda and tells you only 200.

I can assure you that 200 is a lie and that at least 1,200 is more accurate. Could be alot more if the company just contracts out cleaning and movement of aircraft in some of the stations.

Watch how quick that number climbs if the association files section 6. Me thinks the association won't file. Isn't tomorrow the actual day that the contract comes up? Of course the company and union could agree to expedited negotiations. Either way, the union has no leverage whatsoever after giving up cross utilization. Game Over!
Yes tomorrow the 12th the contract becomes amendable. No need to worry or get a JCBA in place. The TWU and company agreed that our contract automatically renews itself every September 12th or until a new one is negotiated. That's how it's written in our agreement. This gives the company plenty of time to work out all the details of outsourcing our work to South America and Mexico. Then as time goes on they will work on Envoy moving into more areas of TWU work. They successfully removed AA cabin service in the BK and farmed it out. The ball started to roll down the road of outsourcing. ENVOY is our real enemy. If any work can not be outsourced across the borders then they will try to do it on the cheap. ENVOY is the answer to AA's high labor costs. No one is immune to it. Aircraft maintenance, facilities maintenance and fleet service. Passenger service is next when they get into negotiations. I see it face to face day in and day out. I have lengthy conversations with pilots about ENVOY and the flights we lost.
