American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

I disagree we have 2 unions that are not very good at all. We are paying them hard earned money to represent us. There doing a piss poor job. They do not give the info most members want to know like what they proposed what the company proposal were not union officials going off on video. If you were paying for a service in your private life and they did not communicate with you and you felt they were not representeing you you would get rid of them. Maybe people wouldn’t dues object if they were getting there money’s worth. But to watch these clowns that are negotiating our contract is a joke. The company has glass we need professional negotiating for us. The last twu contract had very piss poor language in there . Don v sold us down the river. Conclusion since the union will not tell us what there proposal are I’ll assume that it is not very good. If the company really is going to make all those cuts why want the union actually show us what in there. In writing instead of pissing the company off by threats and the isom remarks I don’t like Parker are isom they turned a full service airline into Walmart air. And they have showed me that they can’t run a big major airline. But a union official going on video and making those claims are ridiculous. Now if they wanted to do something do like the pilots did put it in all the major news papers that they lost confidence in senior management. Because most aa people have no confidence in this management team. But conspiracy theory about isom was a boneheaded move. And that’s why a lot of mechanics have signed AMP cards because we are not getting the service that we are paying for. We’re paying the union we are there boss it’s time they listened to us and do what the majority want let’s see both sides of the proposals and let’s go from there.
weez and charlie browns boy peterson may be in with management. Since his bizarre video ive had suspicions that he is with management. He was a 3 time management flunkie prior.

Im so thankful i left this goofy corporate union.

You wrote all that and you said you disagree. On the contrary, it sounds like we agree. What I wrote was

And he is anti-union, too. The sooner these 'dues objectors' leave, the better.

And that goes double for people who think one group is holding their group back. By all means then yes I agree you should go asap. Go and negotiate on your own with a different union and become an objector until you get a new union. We agree on this. I understand Weez might not agree with you but I do. Ciao!
i could negotiate a solid contract in less than one week, given the predicament of no leverage.

All current scope. I would just smash down the awful pension and agree with the company to double contributions into a 401. Shouldnt take that long. Maybe a day but certainly no more than a week.

Hey Al would would you think if once you started rotating there in LGA after every bid the spot you picked that didn’t rotate the next bid you looked on the sheet and suddenly that spot became a rotator?

Seriously no joke. That can be arranged with one phone call. Are you really sure you want to become a dues objector there “Brother” Al?
Threatening employees is against company policy, and doing so by suggesting management will bully due to someone exercising his civil rights is a clear violation.

Any more screen shots for me?

Sticks and stones.....threats and intimidation same difference.Somebodys favorite movie is "On The Waterfront".Turns out to be nothing, Weez is my friend and think he would actually have my back.
Al
when do you guys rotate?
Thats the most anti union thing. They do it at united. cost so much money for young kids with families having to get sitters or days off cuz nothing is fixed.
That dopey angelo guy prolly loused that up when he had less time.

And the 6 Years officially comes to a close. What’s next?

What is next? Well, that's simple. Either allow the company offer (Much better than United and leading industry) to be presented for a vote, or go into section 6 and then wait to see what happens with the economy in a couple years.

If there is a vote, obviously, it would pass by 95%.

If they decide to see what happens in a few years then they will be able to agree to the same thing if the economy is still good. If the economy softens then they will have to decide what they are going to give up.

A 3rd path, one that I haven't seen before, is to just sit and do nothing. Don't file section 6. Don't agree to the offer. Just do nothing. I guess nobody can stop them from doing nothing, but that wouldn't accomplish anything since the company can play shell games, unlike in section 6 where a company is legally bounded to negotiate fairly. Fairly is a loose term that just means show up, but fairly doesn't mean presenting offers today and switching them tomorrow, without one party filing and getting mediation.

3rd path part B is to not file section 6 but instead jointly file with mediation. I would think that the company would be very responsive to that.

Other than Gary Peterson everyone else in the TWU side is gone or no longer involved. About the only company people left are James Weel and Mark Nelson.

So NYer what are the departures and what will happen to stations below the count?

Josh

Hey, the TWU just received another blow and the IAM retains their insurance for a year or two more. The split has just become even wider. Nice!

well, the company filed and we're getting a mediator...

Absolutely spectacular. Great idea.

Now reading what they wrote on Jetnet apparently they made no move whatsoever at all from what they proposed the last time months ago?

I could have sworn that someone was saying that the Company had offered more? Oh well I guess that was nothing but a load of more chit on top of all the chit the guy already writes.

hmmm...the company is going on about AMT...12,000 new 'team' members and an additional $3.6 billion over 5 years? is this what the assoc. has been up to?

they also devoted one sentence to lus/iam insurance. no can do.

the $1.25 on DOS is absurd.

Dave, you are such a hypocrite. You label people "smucks" for running over to Jetnet to see if there are any Contract updates. I just went over there ( accepting the label I guess) and what did see, if it wasn't Dave with one of the first comments over in "smuck" territory.
