I dont.know why I'm asking cause I think im going to find out eventually but How the F@@k did you ever agree to those family rates in the first place ????
There is no agree or disagree. It is what it is. I believe most folks go with the standard plan.

Al, I don't know your situation, but it's just my wife and I and we do the Standard. $850 deductible and $2000 max out of pocket. Mine under the 2019 rate will be $267 monthly compared to $249 in 2018.

So these rates were always this high? Even during the HMO days etc I mean I'm here a long time and I remember not paying anything or a miniscule amount

No, not always this high. It has been a steady progression over the years.

This will be even more expensive in 2020 obviously, so if the IAM is not able to keep their medical for their members and the Association get us on it (which I highly doubt) then something better be offered with much value. It will most definitely be "sticker shock". Then "OUCH" would be appropriate!

I don't know what the rest of America pays Ford John Deere. UPS etc wonder if it is comparable

Worse than that paying a lot more for what seems a lousier plan 2 kicks in the butt

Tim what is the next step with negotiations??Are we waiting for a mediator to be assigned? Is Peterson waiting for Isoms coup before we go further. What is your best guess when negotiations resume.
Peterson is clearly looking into a management job even though he is a 3 time management flunkie.
As far as negotiations, i imagine a mediator will be announced and everyone will meet, as a matter of procedure, in October. 6 months of negotiations then if its still tic tac toe then the normal section 6 will follow about 6 months later.

But, less will be on the table which means the resources will be taken from small stations and given to hubs.
When will things end? Whenever the iam stops kicking the can. But they will sign for less.

Actually the “Value” plan is not under any contractual requirement. And why they can and have been raising the costs on it to Death.

They’re trying to herd everyone eventually down to the CORE plan.

That’s why I’ve been supporting the IAM in their (should be our) fight to get/keep the costs lower.

Hey Weez where did ya find this? I just poked around Jetnet and didn't see it. Thx for posting.

TWU Local 501 posted it on their Facebook page. Notice my “rumor” lol, of 11% on the Family Value and 7% on the Standard rate rise panned out.

Weez now that you had a medical issue what is the BEST plan for a man over 50

You really need to sit down with a pad and pen and figure out what you think works best for you economically?

I take the Standard Plan because I can afford the out of pocket costs. I used to do the Value but with the Deducibles (Non Contractual) it winds up to be more expensive overall now.

The two plans used to equal out.
