I guess you don’t consider it well played on the TWU’s part actually keeping the Scope for M&R and more jobs a lot longer which is actually what’s lucrative to the Unions (Jobs) and not Medical that the Union doesn’t make even a dime off of?

Scope (Jobs) = Dues flow. FYI.
I dont think any of this is well played or strategic at all. Its just is what it is.

I would say yes to that. 2020 was AA's offer and now of course that has been shot down. Again, we (TWU) are the ones taking it up the you know what with this Section 6. As I stated earlier, well played by Sito, his members are doing well.
Of course it is. But the iam owns the twu anyway.

I will say Al, you are correct, it is what it is and none of my or anyone else's disagreeing or any of the cheerleaders rah rah is going to change things. We are where were at and the Association will be the recipient of the congrats or wrath when all is said and done. I have an opinion on that as well!

Our Medical plans really suck. Why would any of us want to saddle other people with our Garbage?

It’s like leaving a bag of poop on your neighbors porch.

look goof, no twu peeps want to saddle us with that. You are getting confused. More like Parker wants the twu to keep subsidizing our health care. Twu members dont wanna keep subsidizing it.

The twu members have tons less than delta. Jetblue probably does better.

I dont know if the actual plans suck but they are to expensive I would imagine forcing majority of families into core which is what thei companys intentions are

Yes lucrative to the International! That is why they so freely throw benefits under the bus. And before you go touting how well we are paid and keeping scope/pension intact I understand that, BUT Cmon WeAAz 2003 has been a long time to have done without certain benefits. We are being Played!

Is our negotiating committee allowed back in the room in section 6 or are they on the outside looking in while the "Executive Negotiating Committee" is front and center. I know, I know, the are fully briefed...

Forgot to add. And you know just how bad our Medical sucks when even the best thing the Company can say about it is that it’s “Competitive” and you get one free Wart removal treatment each year.

No skin tags. Those you have to pay for yourself.

Fully Briefed is code for Taking It In The Shorts!

Of course we’re being played. I just want to make sure exactly who I think is playing us before I start to throw rocks at their heads.

Trust me. If it is one or both of our Unions I’m fully capable of hitting them right between the eye if necessary.

For now I still think it’s the Company though for the most part.

Yes it sucks. But now that we are headed to mediation which really means nothing because nothing can be forced on us. We may be looking at another 1, 2, 3 maybe more years of talks that go nowhere while paying the higher medical premiums which increase year after year.

So we either hold out until they capitulate on medical and/or scope for a few more years and maybe wind up in arbitration or whatever the railway labor act determines where we wind up or WE capitulate on the medical and/or scope. Arbitration can go against us also.
We truly are not in a good position.

Yes, our medical costs are high, but we can be paying them for years to come regardless. And we will be having this same discussion while living under the same contracts, we under our TWU contract and the IAM under theirs for years to come.
This is not a good position to be in.
I do not see the company moving on the medical which will increase their costs substantially even though they are making the profits.
I hope I am wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

Weez... thanks for "setting the tone" ... as our resident non-union, non-company poster has requested. Apparently, the surrogates here wish to set an entirely different tone, and have so for years. This is simply an endorsed union bashing thread, nothing less... nothing more.

The "flying spaghetti monster" is actually a bitter loser, with an exposed agenda. No amount of holy water can redeem him...
