As it turns out, the Association has no exit plan. Since everyone now admits that it botched by handing the company its holy grail, cross u.

The only card left is the submit card. The longer they go, the less we get and the more we lose. im out $275 a week
How is that going or did it die out? Would be interesting to see what happens first, does SWA mechanics ever get a contract, or do you guys mechanics get a new union?

Isnt that unheard of,sounds like something from the Hoffa years.I hate that "we know whats good for you" chit
Several people have sent emails to AMFA national they decided a long time ago not to release it, and they will not. This is the democratic union Swamprat loves.

I didn't say they were discussing medical for three years. If it took them 2 1/2 years to get to this point with a majority of articles t/a'd...and with scope and medical being the two big main remaining issues, don't you think they knew what they wanted with respect to these two issues all along?
So should we happily accept three more years of negotiations discussing the two simply because they are last issues?
Both sides knew in the beginning what they wanted when this started. And most likely the t/a's that were reached and agreed to might have been done so with scope and medical in mind?
You're saying if the company finally gave in on medical and scope the other ta'd articles would be changed ex less vacation,sick.......we might be here awhile

That too. Maybe they t/a'd articles thinking that by doin so each side with get their way on scope and medical.

Well it looks like the Dow is back on the trajectory it started in Oct 2016.

American joins Delta, United in raising checked-bag fees

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — It's official: It will cost you more to check a bag on any of the three biggest U.S. airlines.

American Airlines said Thursday that it is raising fees for checking bags by $5 apiece each way, matching Delta and United.

The first bag is now $30 and the second is $40. Those are each way, so checking two bags on a round trip will cost $140. High-spending frequent flyers and customers who book with the airline's credit card typically avoid the fees.

JetBlue, Air Canada and WestJet also have raised bag fees. Southwest lets customers check one or two bags free.

U.S. airlines get about a quarter of their revenue from fees. Last year, they took in $7.4 billion from fees on checked bags and ticket changes, led by American.

Hey Rat, it's the fault of all those crooked, greedy, union bosses flying around in A380's, adorned with solid gold bathroom fixtures, and upper decks converted to strip clubs...

Ask the Nelsonians...

The bag fee money would pay for all of us to go on the us air insurance . I see the company raised us air cost also for the 90 and 100 plan. So do they not have a cap on us air insurance

another black eye for the leaders of our team.

world's largest airline, caught like a deer in headlights, waiting for ua or dl or even a jet blue to set the trend. inertia. indecisiveness...

delayed the $5 by a week...550,000 customers a day. let's say 450,000 have a checked bag.

company lost out on $16 million dollars in additional revenues, waiting for delta to make a move. someone call the board of directors..this is not america west or us air.

wall street knows.
