When he agreed with Tommy Reagon's (Chiat dumper) plan to cleanse seniority by making everyone start back to day one for pay and seniority if they got laid off and came back, that was as anti union as one could get.
And his hub AGC's, all Hub Full timers persuaded management to save the full timers in hubs and their quality of life by subsidizing them with lower pay for non-hubs and even part timers in their own hub. Obviously, management was all too happy and signed those anti union deals immediately.

The negotiating committee has never ever seen any proposal. Period. They don't even go in the negotiation room. Everything is second hand. The reality is that the company presented a complete proposal (For fleet at least) in which was the following:
1. All current work, including catering and lavs
2. $33 top out
3. LAA health care
4. Shift differ
5. 10 holidays and 1.5 holiday pay
6. Extra week of vacation
7. True double time during the week after 12 hours
8. 12 sick days
9. Occupational pay (We don't have this at LUS right now but this is huge)
10. double the company contribution into retirement

The only sticking point was that Sito wanted the IAM Pension line item'd. Uncle Jerry couldn't believe it, from what I been told. Over $120 million a year cost positive, 13% above United Total FTE, each FTE was over $100,000 job. The TWU's Alex initially wanted to sign it but Sito, the United Airline Board of Director had loyalties to United BOD and made the IAM pension a deal breaker....and it was. Everything was pulled off the table and the company reverted to a previous proposal. What surprised Alex was that the company filed section 6. Gary Peterson went into spin cycle I heard and was told to pipe down or he would be fired. Since then, he has been a good little sister. Now, they are in Jerry's World. Great Pain to follow, unfortunately, as the Republican led NMB will drag its foot forever just as management wants.
The next proposal will be 'significantly' less. Let's just say that all of this is thirdhand hearsay for now. The longer this goes, the more likely that the AMP will succeed. My best guess, following traditional charts, is 4 years, then the Association will be forced to let us vote on a proposal that is far far less than what was offered last month, regardless of the economy. But, if the economy heads south like 700 claims it will (due to Trump) then we could possibly be talking about pay cuts.

I, personally don't think he will retire anytime soon, but I really don't care. The IAM is corporate and only a management shill. It simply doesn't represent our interest, regardless of who is in charge. Klima I guess would be appointed into Sito's spot but he is an absolute idiot as well. Kev knows him for sure.

They hire dumbe people below them. I love my job and I retired when I filled out my application. If I live to 75, I guess I'll still be working since I got a gravy job.
Last week I worked 1 day, and this week I worked 1 day. At any rate, what's the fuss? Who cares whether Sito retires? I wish him and his family the best, as I do anyone.

If your City (Station) can’t generate the revenue to support the wages you’re asking for you absolutely shouldn’t ask or expect other Cities (Stations) that can, to carry the burden for “your” convenience.

Learn to stand on your own two feet and stop looking for handouts or hand me downs.

Hopefully, he’s back to being his own man by then.

And maybe one day you’ll actually step up and become a man and put your neck on the line and fight for what you believe in instead of hiding in “Wisconsin” letting others pull the weight for you on the Front Lines.

Oh and you’re right. When I hired in at LGA there were about 170 people working there. I think it was the largest Hub in the AA system?
