A-freakin-men!!! Well said and pointed out. He is such a freakin loser and pathetic that it's funny. Never is he taken for credibility of his comments. But, as someone stated he is entertaining, maybe, or maybe NOT huh??? Gotta love this stuff man!!!

C'mon guys. You all know that weez is sent here by his leaders. Do you not? He is just another puppet on strings controlled by the asso. as we all know.

So MetalMover and other “””AMERICAN AIRLINES””” AMT’s, does this help you to understand why I respond the way I do towards your group?

s/ South
w/ West (Not AA)
a/ Aircraft
m/ Maintenance
t/ Technician

Silence is complicity guys.

No you are just a jerk who can’t stand anyone with a different opinion then your self. I’ll make it simple if anyone is against the association you get your feelings hurt

M&M, from what I understand so far with the UPS no vote is not the money offer per hour, but the retirement, vacation, and sending work out, (outsourcing). But the AMT's of UPS will let us know in time.

But yet, they never had a problem with PT mechanics.

I’m sorry it’s just that my thick skull can’t seem to grasp how truly special you AMT’s must be. Obviously you know your worth more than the Market and these Companies you keep continuing to spurn year after year, decade after decade.

I never realized that taking High School Shop (Aviation High) or going to a rinky dink Trade School paying between $6000 and $12,000 to get your A&P means you all should make more than Teachers, Nurses and even some Doctors and Lawyers.

I know, I know. You should get the same thing as Pilots. Yes I’ve read you guys say that before.

(Hey Association please don’t be an Ass and for Gods sake separate us from these clowns ASAP PLEASE. Please save us from their insanity)

Prima-donnas.

I can hear your jealousy...just because we put the extra schooling involved in getting our A&P's, u chose to stay at ur menial job....

Don't worry, the company can use A.R.C. to replace u guys...in case u don't know, it's the foundation that provides people with disabilities jobs... remember the commercial, they sort glass at recycling facilities...not too far from your suitcases...

Keep smoking the TWU pipe...it's amazing how far up the twus A$$ u are....it's actually quite comical...

Provides great entertainment...

You see there YOU YOU YOU go calling ME a name. YOU are the one WANTING me to behave like a jerk.

And you DO have a problem with reading comprehension. I have been plenty critical of the Association. I’m just not bashing them DAILY like some of you guys NEED to do.

You’re NOT paying attention to what I have said that is critical. For example:

“We should have had a vote before they formed the Association”
“The IAM should have joined protests”
“The official Association updates are terrible”
“I’m TWU”

But I’m also NOT going to give the Company any more ammunition against US than they already think they have.

I’m sorry but no. When I inquired about going for an A&P being told that I would lose at least 10 years of my life on Midnights was a MASSIVE deterrent.

If I had went to Trade School I would have taken up Heating and Refrigeration instead. They work during the day and many make more than you.

My Brother is a “Rigger” with his own Business. He earns around $350,000 per year. And he didn’t even graduate High School. (Airline Mechanics are cool but kind of on the lower end of skilled trades by Compensation frankly)

Don't worry, the company can use A.R.C. to replace u guys...in case u don't know, it's the foundation that provides people with disabilities jobs... remember the commercial, they sort glass at recycling facilities...not too far from your suitcases...

Actually the “Fight for $15” and rising Airport Minimums is making it more and more difficult for the Company to be able to easily replace us. But just like you guys the more we demand in wages, the more they want to try and replace us.

Can’t load a Flight from MIA to DFW out of a Hanger in Brazil though. Can send a plane there though.

Keep smoking the TWU pipe...it's amazing how far up the twus A$$ u are....it's actually quite comical...

TWU is an Acronym. I wasn’t crazy about the performance of the TWU people under the leadership of James Little quite honestly but I like the “people” working under the leadership of John Samuelsen.

BTW who’s A$$ do you kiss? The Company’s?

Kindly f—k off.

Association run by fleet service. Association trying to save fleet service jobs.
AA can easily replace fleet service at all stations with unskilled, uneducated contractors.
Association is dragging Aircraft maintenance in the mud to protect fleet service jobs from being contracted out.
Association is afraid of losing millions of dollars in union dues.
Aircraft maintenance association members are in denial of this fact.
Aircraft maintenance union members are going to be taking it up the shorts because my fellow aircraft maintenance union members are too stupid to try to make a difference. There you have it.
You all have a nice association fleet service day.

i see that southwest has amfa for AMT and twu for fleet. each side makes the same/more than aa.

does amfa mean that much more in favorable disparity of pay for AMT over fleet (twu) with southwest? if it does, the trade-off is O/H jobs, outsourcing?

bottom line is the belief that aa AMTs will successfully keep the same scope that is better than any other us domestic airline and higher pay & benefits than any other us domestic carrier with a different union?

I’m sorry but if you actually watched and listened to the latest Gary Peterson video you would know for a fact that good paying Aircraft Maintenance jobs are probably under even more of an attack then the job I do.

SWA only numbers about 1200
UPS only numbers about 1200 also
Fed Ex I bet is also pretty small as well?
And I don’t think Delta and United have massive numbers of AMT’s either?

Actually currently SWA AMT’s make about $4.00 per hour less than their AA counterparts but they do have other means of compensation that close that gap.

The biggest difference though is that they don’t have as many Mechanics as AA, UAL or Delta do. They do make excuses as to the Fleet makeup but that’s a load of horse pucky since they have close to the same amount of planes as AA.

Having just one type of plane would keep their AMT numbers down by comparison but absolutely not as low as they currently are.

who makes excuses for their fleet make-up? the fact that they only fly 737s or did you mean something else? i'd think southwest can use that advantage with pilots, training and parts.

i remember when an alaska air s-80 went down and they 'self-grounded' their s-80s for awhile. to me, southwest, mainly, got a break early this summer worth billions when the faa didn't even consider that.

the winning aa used to wait..bide it's time and let delta wrestle with the new md-11 and united with the new 777. let those airlines work out the kinks and spotty reliability with mcdonnell-douglas/boeing and angry passengers.

the new aa has how many different types of planes?

Agree with you Kev. Maybe once they get rid of our low skilled jobs someone of his stature may allow me to carry his tools around, kinda like a caddie. I'll just have to figure out the difference between a phillips and flat head, and if righty tighty and lefty loosey is still in play.

Here’s the reality without it being anything that is stating a personal preference or not about the situation.

At SWA the Ramp (And FA’s) are represented by the TWU. Separate from the AMFA AMT’s those two groups have deals while AMFA chose to go back into lingering for one.

UAL Ramp is represented by the IAM and has deals that they passed. AMT’s are represented by the IBT and now they too have a deal that they passed.

Delta has no representation.

AA ramp and maintenance are tied together through the TWU and the IAM. Both groups went in to negotiations together and both groups will more than likely come out together as well.

The question we have right now is which groups issues are more under attack and will be tougher to solve putting the other groups potentially on an indefinite or just longer hold?
