They really think they’re going to get over 6000 people to sign a showing of interest on an idea that hasn’t even registered with the DOL and doesn’t exist or represent anyone? Lol. Aw c’mon now. Lol.
The company LOVES card drives!

Dude, are you telling this forum that you were elected, and authorized by the LAA membership to function as a representative on their behalf? Are you officially authorized to relay their sentiments regarding this matter? What is your official position and title within the TWU?

Weez... is Buck an officer within the TWU?

Weez... I think the whole plan backfired -- all their tactics did, was make the association more resolute!

Buck is not a representative for the TWU or the Association. Buck is an AMT in TUL who has a dream to remove and replace his current Union Representation.

He is/was an architect/organizer/supporter for an independent Union called AMP that hasn’t/didn’t take off as he would have preferred.

If you would listen not try and scream the people that i know and talk to do not want the IAMDPF in the contract for themselves if it is in there for you fine but don't give me any more of USAIR/IAM garbage language and substandard CRAP.

LAA does not want the IAMPF, if the IAMPF is part of the contract then I want my Frozen Pension reinstated. For me to even think about the IAMPF I would have to have 35 years of Vesting and contributions from the company matched. No, my 401k is fine and I do not want any IAMPF Fingers near my money nor the Unions. If you want to see a DFR just try something this stupid.
If the IAMPF is in the Green then is it an Actuarial Value or a Fair Market Value? There have been many years that the IAMPF has been at or near the Green Zone but only for Actuarial values, it is the Fair Market Value that the recipients will receive and have to live on. Then at any time, the Fund Manager can "borrow" to shore up the value. See the attachment from 2012 and the Graph on page 5. Notice the IAM Pension Fund as audited by Credit Suisse in 2012 which makes the first paragraph of PIEDMONT784's upload in question. The "Actuarial Value" is Green, the "Fair Market Value" is in the RED with a funded value of 43.5%.
Thanks Buck, very informative. You are correct, I want no part of the IAMPF.

Although the Horse has been beaten to Death here and the Vet has officially certified that the Horse breathes no more.

I wouldn’t have any problem at all if the IAMPF was offered as part of Retirement option package one time “choice” after ratification of a JCBA. Basically individualize that choice rather than it being offered contractually to a Membership that has far too many who have zero clue how to manage their finances deciding something so important to all of us.

IMO though the IAMPF will not be part of the final product we get to vote on anyway. So of course I would prefer more than what the Company is offering how they are offering it. Up the Contribution portion over the match portion more.

Actually prefer to see it tiered for at least the life of the contract the way the FA’s so BRILLIANTLY negotiated it. Maximize your highest earning years over 50. (Of course I’m 53 and partial)

Industrial unionism has run its coarse for the AMT'S. It's now time for class and craft unions to represent their specific class. It's a one sided issue between unions and big business because the government is fighting unions now more than ever. Unfortunately whenever we try at any airline to better ourselves you get the nut jobs mostly from the unskilled industrial union supporters who have most to loose against us because they fear loosin dues over better representation. At least you voted for union representation. Think about the guys at UPS who did vote and their votes were overturned from a majority No to a yes by constitutional rule. I don't know what's worse. UPS voting and results overturned or the association forced on us without a membership vote. I'm sure the Samsonite baggage repositioning engineer will defend the association and discredit AMFA, AMP and ALTA. That's what union back side lip contactors who are looking for higher positions in the union do. If you don't like AMFA then do something about it. Don't cry on AA's AMT'S shoulder for sympathy. We have our own issues to deal with.
I am not I just admitted we are stuck with them. Too many people don't give a ****, and could care less. The rest drank the cool aide along time ago. Your hate of industrial unions will not get you an industry leading contract with Parker, with some b.s. Union no one has ever heard of. It takes tons and tons of money to fight. In reality AMFA doesn't have a lot of cash reserves. I just want to get 18 to 19- more years in, or less and retire.

It's obvious we are not getting a ILC. What I'm pushing for is a class and craft union to represent our title groups. Flight Attendants dumped the TWU and never looked back. The flight Dispatchers recently did the same. It's our turn now. We are looking for better representation. What comes after that is on us and if we fail then we failed on our own. With the current association we don't have any say. No vote no input. Some people don't get it and are afraid of change. Others only look at numbers and dues. Do an exploratory and see if guys are willing to change representation or are satisfied with what they have.

“Bad Salesman” your Encyclopedias are dated 1983. They’re as old and dated as the shirts and ties you still keep in your closet.

So essentially, it would be safe to say that "Buck", and a dude that claims to be from Delta, along with a few other anonymous posters here (whom may or may not be management, or management proxies) are NOT actually representing the membership.

Basically, they are like Tim claiming to "be in charge"-- and have self appointed themselves to vicariously leading the entire workgroup from a PC connected to the internet...

You don't have to a genius to see the tactics here. Unfortunately for them, they have severely underestimated the intelligence of the membership.
Hell, they have f-ing INSULTED both the membership's resolve, and intelligence!

Not gonna work folks!

Good now you can get down to business. Might be 2 to 3-years hope not, but better than pie in the sky ideas, some people try to distract people. I am a realistic.

Of course no one can be sure how much longer our talks might take the fact again that the Mediators added more dates, they did TA some things last Tuesday and this progress chart are more encouraging against another 2 to 3 years than for it.

Well based on that Weazz further along than the haters on here claim, wouldn't that be ironic if you guys got a T/A in 12 to 18 months.

Ironic wouldn't be the word I would use, as a matter of fact it would take a paragraph or more... 🙂

I think it would be more ironic if we got AIP’s at the end of February myself. 🙂
