No, when I joined Airline forums, I didn't like the way my union AMFA was conducting business, and was attacked and made fun of, by people that hate industrial unions , and think craft unions are God's answer to the secrets of the Universe. I just would find it Hilarious if the cumbersome Association as some claim on here, beat the great craft union to the punch to successfully ratified contract.

I’m not finding the IAMNPF on this list of 114 plans projected to fail in the next 20 years?

Many keep saying how bad the plan is here but I have yet to find anyone give me concrete proof that the fund is in any protected long term trouble currently?

Even though I don’t believe ultimately it will be offered to me anyway I just hate when people profess something and they don’t provide any proof to back up their comments.
 
Heard from union they want to lay 3000 amts . No protection after contract becomes amendable. out source oils and Hydraulic serving. Any body who are we suppose to believe ?
 
Got an email from Trumka urging me to vote tomorrow. Here is my response:

I find it interesting that a person who prevented me from being able to vote on my own union representation (I would have never voted for an association that gives one third the membership an equal vote with the other two thirds) is pushing me to vote in this election. You, sir are a hypocrite and you are the sole reason I am still suffering the concessions from almost sixteen years ago. You should have the common decency to dissolve the association so we can choose our own representation. I'm tired of having nothing so you can keep your damn medical and broken pension. Take me off your email list as I couldn't care less about your agenda as you surely have worked extremely hard using the AFL CIO and a corrupt NMB to deny me my right to choose. Do not contact me again.

Its no big secret that job losses are coming or that the company wants to increase outsourcing. Where have you been?

I got the same email. First instinct was the same as your response. Its like screaming into the wind though. The association, Unions, AFL-CIO and Trumpka et,al just don't care. It`s all about the dues, members be damned. Modern "unions" are an embarrassment to the founders of the labor movement.

Weez... they have no evidence of anything. The reason the detractors, and dividers are really against the IAM pension is simple...

It represents a potential shared, and vested equity that could weave a common thread between the members of the association (both TWU and IAM), thus cementing a permanent mutual bond between the groups. They see this as a threat to their future divisionary tactics that could fracture the alliance, like their stupid card drives etc.

If one's goal is to divide, then one would certainly be against the proliferation of the IAMNPF.
