I will not support the association. They do not look out for the members best interest . It’s all about the dues money. Coming to them. When we didn’t get the vote we were promised I say screw this association ran by clowns .they need professional to go up against Gerry glass
Your Association is as effective as AMFA at SWA, and that's not saying a whole lot, good luck.

Don’t worry Conehead. I realized quite a while ago that there’s really no hope for you.

Health and happiness wise though I do wish you nothing but the best. Seriously.

Does AMFA represent fleet service and stock clerks? Are you guys mixed in with two very diverse and dysfunctional unions representing about a dozen groups of various skill levels? Does AMFA pay the AFL-CIO money from your dues? I know you hate AMFA but no way can you say both unions are the same.

The cleaners are in our union, separate contract. GSE, Maint,Control, instructors, are in our contract. Alot of our dues goes to the Seham lawfirm. When I said as effective they are not going to get us a contract that will pass any quicker than your Association will. A successful passed contract is how I gauge a Union's effectiveness.

Hey if anyone here thinks that Fleet Service is “overpaid” here’s what a NYC Garbageman represented by the IBT makes. (Don’t forget to add in all the other perks)

I will speak for only me but it never was what "you" make I for one hope you make all you can. Never thought you were overpaid my issue was I was a ramp guy for my time I went to A@P school for the first 18 months I was there then when I got my A@P I got on the mechanic list at NW through a letter of interest since I was IAM same union I made less than I would have if I stayed a ramp guy until I hit my 5th year then I got ahead but not by much and I was on midnights. So I know a lot of mechanics make the foolish statements and dog the ramp guys but it is more because of what I just stated it is frustration and it's the union not appreciating the responsibility of the mechanic. I remember the IAM in LAX had a guy tell the crowd his drivers license was just as good as an A@P. Yeah so we have no respect but in some ways we deserve no respect and bring a lot of misery on ourselves but that is why we need a craft union the problem is the RLA and NMB have us mechanics in a bad spot. Until things change in regards to that mechanics will always get the short end of the stick.

LOL. Oh good Lord, no way. Not even close. Pst... He's not very well informed 1AA. he really has no clue what is really going on. Not knocking him but, as he has said a long time ago, he never gets any info from his ALR. It is sad. But maybe he will be impressed come the week of the 9th when more info will be revealed. Stay tuned...

Not going to clutter their threads arguing with you. I have gone to the meetings, and the road shows, talked to the ALR, emailed people. It is the same speech I have heard for over 6 long years. They AMFA does what we pay them for bring back a contract that can pass , and we all move up the ladder, nothing more.

“Post written and posted by TWU Local 501 representatives on their Facebook page”

“The devil is in the details...here is the scope language from the current IAM fleet CBA. Upper case wording is what we do not have in the current TWU fleet scope contract. This "WHEN AND WHERE SO DIRECTED" language removes ANY guarantee of the described work and that is what Jerry Glass and the company wants moving forward. And this is the reason we MUST support the Association and OUR fight for clear and concise Scope protections in the new JCBA.

Fleet Service consists of the classifications of Fleet Service Lead Agent (Full-time and Part-time) and Fleet Service Agent (Full-time and Part-time). Fleet Service work consists of Ramp Service, Operations/Tower and Central Load Planning (CLP). Separate duty assignments may be established.

A. Ramp Service work includes:

1. Normal and customary work associated with the
handling and transporting of luggage and material;
the loading and unloading of aircraft; the delivery of
baggage and Company material.

2. WHERE NOT IN CONFLICT with the terms of the IAM Maintenance and Related Agreement: normal and
customary work associated with receipt and dispatch.

3. WHEN AND WHERE SO DIRECTED: normal and customary work associated with the handling, transportation and processing of in-flight meal, beverage, snack and associated supplies including the packing of beverage kits; normal and customary work associated with the handling of cargo office and warehouse functions; normal and customary work associated with the sortation and transporting of mail and cargo.

4. WHEN AND WHERE SO DIRECTED and where not in conflict with terms of the IAM Maintenance and Related Agreement: normal and customary work for both through and RON flights associated with servicing aircraft, including lavatory and water systems, cleaning aircraft interiors, arranging passenger service and galley equipment, trash removal, changing of seat covers, performing minor preventative maintenance on ground equipment; aircraft movement, performing GPU and airstart deicing aircraft, and other duties associated with the servicing of line aircraft.

5. WHEN AND WHERE SO DIRECTED: work associated with US Airways Express aircraft and other non-company aircraft, the operation of jetways, performing catering security checks, and any other station work.”
that was not the fullness of the company offer. By letter, all current cargo and deicing was also included. Then in the last offer, current catering and current lavs were also added insomuch that ALL current work was included.

Do you know if their negotiator gave up all leverage as well, prior to signing that contract?
Also, didnt you just post the $19 minimum wage at lga was going to be $19?
Is that also the minimum wage in Florida?
Weez, i think you may be on to something and ought to campaign with jetblue workers in fll to get a new minimum of $20. Al would probably support that as well.
Maybe lehive and your other handlers will allow it.

Youll care about them when they replace you with them, maybe your friend can get you a job with Envoy
weez has stated that envoy doing our work in jax and pbi would be ok because they are union.
Envoy is a scab company with the twu. it only exist to take our jobs. Who cares if they wear union pins other than weez?

Moral of story, all unions are the same

I said the same thing several years back about the American Eagle AMT'S performing work on AA mainline metal at outsourced stations where we lost heads. American Eagle AMT'S were also represented by the TWU. The TWU sat back and did nothing to get our jobs back at those stations because we are all one happy TWU family. It was about the dues money. Now Envoy is repeating history. Union jobs taking away other union jobs for the sake of producing income for the Internationals of these money hungry industrial unions.

Yes the dues revenue stream coming in from these low wage $9.00 to $15.00 per hour workers in comparison to their $13.00 to $31.00 per hour counterparts is just extraordinary.

And the phrase on these pages “Sat back and did nothing” or “Sit back and do nothing” is always one of the most STUPID STUPID STUPID lines I hear from you agenda pushers.

Too many of you clueless goofballs walking around out there.

Hey 1AA how’s that Card Drive going huh? LMFAO.

Tim how would the company offer work.Make it simple with a small group say autoshop as one would retire or leave they would be replaced with a contract company worker.Meaning they would be working along side AA mechanics. As it expands to other groups i dont see how that would work.
