You're probably right Al. If you watched that video, I think he is just as fed up with the Association as we are. They won't even return his calls.

i wish he would throw the towel in and just say, that maybe its time to start something new. whats really sad is how jim little boxed us in. they used the dues checkoff cards as a sign of interest to form the association. now that they represent us, they cant start a card drive or use that method again. there is nothing we can do internally to fix it, the iam just sits there and smiles.

Jim Little pretty much sold us out. The IAM took care of their members like they are supposed to so can't bad mouth them. The TWU is a different story. A small child would have known better than to do what the TWU did. The fact that there was no vote makes people wonder that much more about the circumstances of the agreement. Frankly, the TWU looks like the real dumb kid in class that gets sent to a corner with the dunce cap on. The IAM was probably thinking, wow can you believe these guys agreed to this.

WRONG. An organization can form to trigger a vote. If the TWU Presidents got together and had someone they trust to collect and secure the cards, then it could happen. I don't need to have the cards or any part of it, but I can get hundreds of LUS peeps to sign. And, in collecting the cards, the TWU front organization should tell people that the idea is to rid of the association and then vote for TWU. But the TWU can't be outfront in this.

The IAM nor the Associaiton will win. PERIOD. This could be done in 30 days with an election in 90 days to get rid of this gosh forsaken organization.

I would have no problem if it ended up being the TWU or the girl scouts. Anyone other than the IAM and that nasty IAM Pension stall.

Anyone wonder why our last International Leader bailed so quickly. He saw the writing on the wall and wanted no part of it. John Samuelson on the other hand is watching from afar, apparently way far...Haven't heard much from him on our negotiations, or the lack thereof!

Sad reality when a 68 year old man who’s wife had stage 4 Cancer can’t retire with just a small measure of dignity without so many others thinking there was an ulterior motive instead.

By all means get it going. Maybe if the sheep in maintenance see that fleet voted out of the association we might get enough AMP cards signed. The TWU guys want nothing to do with the IAMPF. We are too old to start a new pension worth any kind of payout.

BTW AA did you watch the part of the Danker video where he said he wouldn’t bring out what AA offered for a vote as it stands.

From what I understand (except maybe NYer) none of the TWU Fleet President’s agree to bring out what we’ve been offered either? Have you asked Fa or Greg Cozy what they think about it?

So it’s not just the IAM holding it back FYI.

There you go again i have signed an amfa card on every card drive please do yourself a favor and don't stereotype and i won't include you with the title 1 people that asked what they can get if they outsourced title 2 in the 2003 negotiations. that is why most title 2 will not sign cards because they know that you believe that you are better than we are.

Nope your group bought the twu lies is what you did. I never said I’m better then anyone else. The nmb had different work classes and I want to be represented in a union that only works in the craft class. I don’t here to many amts say let’s outsource tital2 . That’s all twu lies.
