actually no we are not an impasse, if we were the company would have 30 days to impose the last offer. if we are lucky that will happen within the next two to three years. unless of course the iam decides to enter the fight. by entering the fight i mean to show up.

From an NMB perspective no of course we’re not at an impasse particularly since they haven’t even met with the Mediators yet. Those Mediators would never declare an impasse anyway at AA, UAL or DL. Those of us who’ve been around long enough now know better even when it’s implied to prepare for a Strike is a little ridiculous unfortunately. (Unless it’s a wildcat)

But from the dictionary definition of an impasse we’re there at the moment. The Association is publicly calling out the Company to meet and obviously they’re refusing. That’s an impasse in my book.

Currently by their actions they show no intentions to further move from their positions at this time.

How do you suppose different individuals assigned to Negotiate with the Company will have any more success at convincing/coercing/cajoling or enticing them to move from their current positions?

Or do you believe having different individuals in those talks that perhaps they will relent to the Company offers (No written fine print) and we can all vote and just see what happens from there?

I believe that there are more Senior Members who absolutely want them to relent. I guess the Association doesn’t think it’s all about us though?

Weez... apparently, you are a "divider" because you refuse to join the divisional campaign, and embrace an agenda of actual division... go figure...

I think maybe a member of the existing executive committee has another agenda.I truly believe hes pushing the IAMPF,what I really dont understand is why the company is making a big deal over it they should be happy that LUS medical will be gone.Take the money and run if you will

And I think it’s inherently natural for the Human mind to have to look for the conspiracy around every corner.

The simplest explanations are too boring and unchallenging.

You are a big shot with the IAM the IAMPF desperately needs members. You at least try to keep the members you have.Conspiracy or just good old common sense

I love common sense. So let’s roll with that Al.

The IAM Leadership are not in the “National” Pension plan from what I understand but I’m sure some have some investment in it depending on the Companies they work for might have made that investment over their own DBP’s. But I think most Reps are in the Grand Lodge Pension from what I understand which is well funded?

Anyway the Union as a whole (Both IAM and TWU) make their money and receive their salaries and perks from a combination of overall membership ranks and their respective salaries. Don’t think I need to repeat how those dues are based since I’ve already covered that to death.

Even though all things have to have a focus I just don’t see the IAMNPF being any type of grave need for a pitched battle over items such as Scope that really butter the bread Al.

I think the IAMNPF while sure it has some importance, it’s just another Boogeyman issue against Jobs and Medical expenses. (But BY FAR mostly jobs)

Yea Ok Al. With I think as I recall 10 Billion in assets and 11 Billion in long term future liabilities (Something along those lines) the damn thing is a Hindenburg just coming over the horizon, lmfao.

C’mon Al I don’t want to label you a Stunad. Italian.
