Thought he said Could of,doesnt matter if both sides stand pat it could be years anyway. It may be a so long that the agreement on bulletin boards needs to be revisited
Lets hope everything works out. Im encouraged by the fact that the mediators even are up for conference calls.
My only concern is that the company took a few things off the table, (as the union also confirmed), but we can hope that the company puts its last best offer (prior to sept 12th) back on the table and cooler heads will prevail.

Vote Now!

His declarations are always artfully crafted to indict the Association, or specifically the IAM....
It all depends on his red herring, or "fear de jour" as to what predictions he will make on any given day. I think he just throws chit against the wall in mass quantities, hoping some will stick!

I will predict this though-- he will NOT vote on anything! Isn't it ironic that he's calling for a vote though... hmmm

Dont agree with him very often, but when it comes to the association and the M.I.A
Have to say i agree with him.

I will say this guys even though you are starting mediation. I am impressed with the days you got. For over 5 years at SWA we got two days a month. Then when the mediator got pissed off we got nothing for six months. Good Luck, you actually sound like you are starting better off, than us.

Who was that guy who told us they would throw everything out and start over when it got to this point?
We got the same story news at SWA from all the company lovers. Doom and gloom, hat the new nego cmte will move in and start from scratch. Not gonna happen...

How ironic -- That's what the company said...

because the mediators obviously have seen our offer and realize its a goodie. If the lies by weez and 700 were really not lies and that we all were going to lose our work then you wouldnt see these encouraging signs from the mediators.

Does your mind just arbitrarily reset? You seem to just pull fantasy scenarios out of thin air.

Don't worry guys, the word out from reliable union sources is that Alex Garcia is the only one talking to the company under meditated negotiations for both fleet service and aircraft maintenance. If anyone doubts this then go and verify it for yourselves. Don't waste your time denying it here. So where and what are the rest of the negotiators doing? Association letters are now not even signed and that was put into question a while back. Now we know it's a one man show.

I'm hopeful! Obviously the mediators felt the company put forth a great offer. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been encouraged to set up many more dates and even conference calls. Once the IAM Pension can be put aside, I'm sure the progress will be rapid.

I wouldn’t say obviously but you could make a case for and surmise that the Mediators saw that progress “could” be made quickly on the outstanding issues and reacted accordingly by scheduling more dates.

Now obviously movement did even occur in that one day session as they were able to close out and TA a small few of those outstanding issues.

And the official Association update was encouraging this time rather than being emotionally confrontational.

Or ths mediators could have said this needs a chit load of work we need to add more dates
