Amt Cc Vs. Supervisor

So AA removed 62 management positions, and now they are already re-hiring?

"SHOW US THE SHARED SACRAFICE" ?

Another lame TWU slogan on a t-shirt?

Yeah, 6 pages of management jobs on jetnet. A bunch in M&E but the best was this one, "Sr Analyst Customer Loyalty Strategy".

How about treating your employees good and they in turn treat your customers good, and that leads to loyalty. Better hire another level 5 to figure a way around the treating your employees good and still having loyal customers. I am will to bet that SWA doesn't have this position.

The "6 pages of management jobs" on Jetnet is only the jobs deemed worthy of back-filling. It doesn't come close to representing the number of positions currently sitting vacant as people leave the company for better paying jobs elsewhere.

And you'll lose your bet over WN having analysts who oversee customer loyalty strategy -- it's called Rapid Rewards, and falls under their marketing group.

Don't know where you're going with that, Buck. How exactly does someone's leaving break the company?

If someone can find a job that pays better, most of us have a fiduciary responsibility to take care of our family first. If I find a job which pays my pre 2003 salary + 20%, I'd be negligent -not- to consider it.

I agree AA has a lot of people leaving, but seriously AA still has way to many unproductive employees at HDQ. I see them every day, its amazing the amount of people that use work to socialize, sell products from their second business, or just walk around and eat.

No, just the thought of increasing the pay for responsibility.

Why now?

The economy, at least in Dallas, is much better than it has been in years. The job market right now is quite good, so a lot of AA HDQ employees are leaving for greener pastures. To give you an example, I spoke with two recruiters last week and got a call from one today. The problem is that the people left either think they're underpaid or they know that they don't have to work hard at AA and are happy to cruise through their day job.

In Tul the Supervisor's are nothing but glorified babysitters. They do nothing but Time and Attendance, Vacation and sign AOI's. If they all called in sick tommorow the operation wouldn't miss a beat. The only reason they are there is to be the Managers whipping boy when something goes wrong.
