"And the Envelope Please "

Thanx to very unwise voting by the majority of the DL (voting) F/a's, DL management can CHANGE Everything and Anything about the F/A's job, and NOBODY can do a DAM thing about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not true. You can quit and go work elsewhere.

The one that I have had for the past 20+ years.....Delta

I figured that went w/o saying.

Since you noted that you felt that this election result was more an indictment of the AFA than representation in general, if you had to pick a certified bargaining agent, which one would it be?

Sincere question to the group.

Do you think the rejection was a rejection of the concept of organized labor or rejection of the AFA?

I think it was the result of a lot of Delta FAs not wanting NWA FAs to pass them on the seniority list. If NWA had been a newer company with younger FAs it probably would have passed, after all we can assume that nearly all the NWA FAs voted yes as well as a sizable portion of Delta FAs. Once the seniority issue has been put aside they may have a better shot at getting in. I think they should try again.

Teamsters? Is that what CO has? I haven't looked into their organization. I believe any organization would have had a better
shot than AFA's disorganized track record. I believe CO f/a's are much happier than than the UAL f/a's. Another reason
why the AFA will be further weakened. I would not be surprised if the UAL f/a's dump the AFA as well.
Question for you. Do you you honestly believe Delta interfered/intimidated in this election?

Bob:

The senioirty list was pretty much settled. Last year, Delta put together a group of flight attendants to work on the combined list. There were some pro-afa DL people in the group. AFA was invited, but I believe that they chose not to participate.

The resulting list used some form of flight date, ie when you started flying or started training to fly. (I do not remember which.) Also, the afa merger policy would produce a list similiar to what Delta produced

Based on this I do not think that seniority was a major issue.

Kev, if these guys/gals think everything is great "without", then why are the pilots? One big happy family right? I hope the company store apple cart gets upset Nov 18th.

CO F/A are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers

oh Spock, again, 80+ years without has been working. So far, no Union could get us "more" than
what we already have. Thus THREE TIMES we have said NO to the AFA. Yes the AFA promised us the "world" but we see they can't even deliver to
their own members.

Yes I do.

'Course, whether or not that meets the legal threshold for carrier interference remains to be seen...
Do you think showing up at the front door is interference ? Or is that differrent if it is a union organizer ?

I believe Delta interfered with this election no more than the AFA did !
