Any Kind Of Work Issues Today?

Maybe you should go volunter to go work in PHL and see the problems first hand before passing judgement.

I have been there and have seen the problems first hand as well as other Leads/Supervisors and Managers whom have came and gone through there ! The sick calls every Sunday are just one small fragment of all the problems there !

Well the company has an attendance policy, guess management needs to enforce it.

I am not an advocate of someone abusing their sick time.

Well I guess you could not solve the problem then?

Granted there has always been those people that dont take the job and the responsibility seriously and call in sick because it is convienient for themselves. However, with the company clearly showing that they do not value dedicated employees anymore...concessions,harassment,double speak..etc. and the premise that 'we have a seniority problem( read ;'get rid of them' )and that those that are hired can work for $7/hr and have $13 to look forward to after 12 years. Why is this suprising?

You went way beyond what I was talking about, as usual.
You mean to tell me you never posted all the mistakes that management has made?
You mean to tell me you never posted that bad attendance is managements fault for not applying the attendance control policy?
You mean to tell me that you never posted that it is the company who makes job cards not the workers?
You mean to tell me you neber posted that the manpower numbers are managements making?
You mean to tell me you never said that a bad day in CLT was due to managments fault for not calling overtime?
You mean to tell me you never posted that utility could be used to clean vehicles and breakrooms on down times to keep productivity up?

That's right you have, and my point was you will always be here to protect the workers and blame management no matter what.
Buddy, I have worked side by side with people like yourself.
There is a title on the Howard S. show called "Hero of the stupid" That is what people like you represent. You go throttles to the firewall to protect the losers while the majority of the workers watch them get over. And yes, management can not do much about it, because people like you are willing to do it.

I would not know you if you walked by me on the unemployment line, but reading your posts speaks clearly for who you are, you can not argue against what YOU write.

Guess since you cant handle the truth you have to try and blame others.

Everything I have posted IS in management's control.

That is right, I will ALWAY protect workers when the worker is not guilty of the charge against him/her.

There are many cases where the employee is at fault and I have informed the employee of that and have tried to lesson the discipline.
And there is nothing wrong with that.

And I do blame management because they have shown time and time again they do not know how to "manage" nor run an airline.

Does two bankruptcies in two years mean anything to you?

Workers in this company perform their job's by management rules, the union does not set forth on how the airline is run.

Your very own management agreed to the contracts that are used as guidelines for pay, benefits and who performs what work.

So if the contracts don't work, it is the fault of the management who agreed to it.

Lets see did the IAM tell US Airways to send the S-checks to ST MAE to get performed?

Nope, they did not and it cost US $594,000 per plane, and then had to pay the IAM Mechanic and Related $15 Million in damages.

Is that stupid?

Survey SAYS: YES.

Let see I don't see the LCCs attacking all the legacy carriers as much as they have attacked US. They attack US because US is vulnerable because management has NEVER had a plan to run this airline.

Lets see bought PSA, only to let WN run US out of the west coast.
Bought PI and let WN run us our of BWI.
Operation HighGround: Failure
Metrojet: Failure

US paid $1,200 to a taxi cab service to drive a quart of paint from CLT to PHL, the plane was scheduled two weeks earlier for the downtime to have the paint work done.

Then the manager of stores in CLT had the audacity to lie about it, said it was for stock. If a manager paid authorized that to happen for stock he should be fired. But it was clearly shown to him what the paint was for, so they had to pay a vendor and then pay two stock clerks for the very same transportation since it was an AOG part from a maintenance station.

Don't see union's making those decisions.

I can go on for days on how this so called "management" team does not know how to manage.

So get off your management high horse and take responsibility for the lack of management in this company.

Just fire the DELETED!

Why doesn't the company enforce the rules and get rid of them?

Maybe because you don't have a clue as to what you're talking about and continually talk out your ###. Come to PHL on a Sunday and see what really goes on.

Half the PHL ramp didnt show up for work on the afternoon shift sunday.

Stop spreading lies. The ramp was down almost 50 shifts before there was one sick call. You're behind the eight ball before you even go into work.

So whats new ! Half the PHL ramp doesnt show on any given Eagles Sunday !
Just fire the DELETED! If PHL works at 20% productivity every Sunday if you get rid of all the deadwood whats are you losing? Nothing, you will still have 20% productivity minus the payroll. Everyone especially the CUSTOMERS are sick of the B.S. that goes on with thr PHL ramp every Sunday. Offer the jobs to furloghed or future furloghed emplyees whom want to pay their bills and work !

I think the big problem is that they won't find many folks in PHL (or willing to move to PHL) that will actually take the jobs for what the company wants to pay -- and pass the background check, drug test, etc. You can fire people that abuse sick time or whatever, but for what the job pays to start, minus charges for union dues, uniform, etc., you end up making roughly minimum wage to lift heavy bags out in the cold, snow, rain, etc. -- and they won't even hire you full-time. You can make more working for UPS, and they're hiring at PHL.

Every example you gave was correct and justified for some other topic, but had nothing to do with my point or the title of this topic.

Bottom line is if things dont go well it will always be managements fault, whether it be employees getting over, being unproductive, abusing sick time, damaging aircraft, not working fast enough, not doing the job right, not having enough time. On and on and on.

It all boils down to the chiefs, not the indians.

But you won't admit it.

So you agree with the problems we have is management's fault.

I rest my case.

I will leave when I am ready.
