You do understand that M?B is not used to integrate pilots from the same union right?

I went to the CactusPilot website looking for the link to MB... but it wasn't there. What does MB say with regard to pilots represented by the same union? Hmm...
 
I recently received my USAPA dues statement and my dues increased $95.69 per month. This is a 1/2 percent increase in dues to supposedly be used by the Merger Committee or another one-third increase to an astronomical amount of money on a relative basis. In addition, USAPA indicated the BPR unilaterally transferred the Furlough Assessment to fund Merger Committee FPL/expenses.

Moreover, the PIC indicated that there could be an appeal to their lawsuit against the PBGC where hearing transcripts point to USAPA losing their lawsuit. If there is an appeal I believe there could be another PIC assessment.

What I would like to know is how our forum's members feel about USAPA's members and non members paying the highest pilot union dues in the universe at 2.45%, assessments used for unintended purposes, and more possible assessments used for losing battles?

ALPA dues are 1.95 percent and APA dues are 1.0%. Why are USAPA dues so high?

What's your opinion of US Airways Group II TOS Captains flying a full month paying almost $4,000 per year in union dues/assessments and Group II TOS F/O's paying about $2,700 per year in union dues/assessments to USAPA?

Steve Bradford told pilots during the representation election we would have a dues rate of 1.0 percent if we elected USAPA as our agent. Why has that number nearly tripled?

Where have you been? Under a rock? Our dues are sky high because of continued litagation with the West Class.

I actually agree with you on the pension assessment, but if our pilots once again vote for another, I will write the check as usual. That's the way it works.

And finally, as to the Furlough moneys, there was a member vote on that..oops, that explains everything, must have been before you finally joined.

But I personally know you think is ok to lie to our pilots if you think it will "help" them. Surely you "knew" about the vote, but are spreading your typical FUD.

And do you really think NOW is the time to skimp on dues moneys? Really?

Why are there references in the MOU to "East" and "West" if we are truly one integrated pilot group??


Because we were not then "integrated" (when the MOU was ratified),are not "integrated" now and will not be "integrated" until the completion of the process dictated by the MOU.

There will be no "separate" East-West JCBA. There will be a "global" JCBA between East, West and AMR. There has never been a completed, ratified, operational and contractual merger of the AAA and AWA pilots. What seniority list, contract and equipment bid are you on? Has to be either East or West.

Three lists, three contracts, three fleets. Maybe that's why there will be three arbitrators, if it gets that far!

Well...lemme' see now; as no credible Clauswitz myself....I must still question the wisdom in pursuing any hasty and entirely unneccesary course of action, most especially when one's foe is so desperately eager for it. 🙂 Have the mighty "spartans" breach the walls and loot the countryside already...or understand and graciously permit proper laughter at your feeble efforts. 😉
 
First of all, congrats to the West pilots on your ERP payout. Even tho it is not much, it is cash in your pocket. And it is brought to you via USAPA.

I can understand how Marty felt it was important to try this hail Mary and attempt to get the NIC pushed through. The clock is ticking with the merger on the horizon. However IMHO, it will again be ruled as not ripe.....so you guys are back to square one.

The bottom line is that this merger moves everything ahead without the NIC. So, I agree with nycbusdriver....this ploy by your attorney was a valiant effort, but is not going to solve anything.

PS: Horrendous and truly shocking as it is: I see a "minus" vote already! Might I then task any/all of the greatest "philosophers" within the "spartan" ranks to argue in favor of the Founding Fathers' holding any positive predisposition towards your disrespectful and wholly contempable, thieving efforts? This should be fun. Don't stammer excessively after the expected and well thought out preamble: "And we hate you guys!"...."You know why I hate you guys?...I hate all of you'se". "You'se" might first wish to cull out your obviously non-english speakers, and put forth only your greatest "minds" in this noble effort....? 🙂

If USAPA were pursuing something that took care of your own selfish interests, you would be posting some BS about we have to have this or else. You would fit right in with the previous pilots that would terminate the pension while you received a lump sum payment. You are a self centered bastard.

Your post is totally political and out of line. Once again, your only goal here is to add fuel to the fire as we move toward the merger.

What more can you do to increase the disrespect that this pilot group has for you?

That's about an increase in dues payments of $375,000 per month or $4.5 million per year. that's not skimping...its gouging to pay for legal bills for a failed strategy and a noose being tightened around USAPA's throat by the Addington Group and West Pilot Class.[/background]

When will this change? I don't believe it's remotely even to think USAPA's handling of money and calling for fiscal restraint is skimping. USAPA has had the highest dues and assessments in the industry for 5 years and now they're going even higher. And, to suggest ALPA had a problem with spending. Who are the founding fathers think their kidding? [/background]
