What's new

Are they Hypocrites?

Hmmm, I think about the same number as LAS genius!!!!

Of course one difference is that PIT is a ghost town and the city has literally closed an employee parking lot. Also they have airsides completely closed and have for some time allowed employees to park on the ramp. Bottom line, there is zero reason why there is limited employee parking, especially at PIT, not so much at LAS.

If the company is paying for parking for employees in other bases to commute from PIT, that is a foolish waste of money.

Either everyone gets it, or no one gets it. (speaking of commuters)

Free parking should be only for in base employees if the company is paying for it.

The company contractually pays for employee parking at your base. If you choose not to have employee parking at your base they contractually pay the same amount toward your employee parking at the airport of your choice from which you decide to commute.

Chirp, chirp, chirp

...and you seem to ignore the correct terminology of that seat: FLIGHT ATTENDANT JUMPSEAT.

snap...snap...snap

so, keep your list of F/A's in CLT who will challenge you in regard to contractual rights on that jumpseat. That list will quickly add to hundreds and hundreds.
So, before you move to CLT, I suggest you DUMP that "Cactus" attitude! J/S on the East is ONLY for F/A's. Get used to it.

Ya, I do believe it's a CABIN jumpseat.

And it will only take a handful of FAs to be replaced before it sinks in.

And as of now, it's not contractual.

I suggest you dump your attitude of having some semblance of say with the Jumpseat. If you think hard enough, the CAPTAIN has the final say. If he says no, you're off the airplane.

You want a war, you'll get it and you'll lose.

Figure it out now.

CURRENT EAST CONTRACT....contract page 30-3. Jumpseat is EXCLUSIVELY FOR FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ONLY.

Which based upon my understanding is in direct conflict with the entire concept of Pilot In Command which I think is Move2clt's point.

Plus Sky, you of all people should know that Labor contracts at US Airways might as well be printed on Charmin given Managements attitude & tactics.

Honestly, Right or Wrong, Contract or no Contract who do you think US is going to favor? Pilot or F/A?

Not sayin' it's right just sayin'

Once she figures out there is no such thing as FA-in-Command, it'll all fall into place for her.

Once again Sky I ask you:

If a CABIN (not FA) Jumpseat Is open (meaning NO FAs waiting for it), you would rather it go out empty and strand a pilot trying to get to work or back to his family instead of letting him ride?

If so, why?

PSSSST! You won the argument! Waiting for Sky to reply to this might take longer than the current pilot situation. 😀

Sorry. Now I understand. In your book PIC and God are synonyms. And, given the US pilots' current progress toward a new contract, I expect we'll all be dead and buried long before that comes to fruition.
