Are you sure? I thought the last step of the ALPA recovery was:

SCREW YOU GUYS, I'VE GOT MINE!

Guess what, it worked.

Won't it be nice to work for an airline rather than an airway? After the acquisition, we all will work for American Airlines and represented by a real union, APA.

No, it will still be America West management. The one committed to the lowest benefit to the worker bees, and the best for the top tier. So it will be the slow takedown of a once great airline by America West.
You guys should be proud. You finally helped take the pension of on of the last legacy carriers. And you helped start the process in 83. Congrats.

Right. Thanks for your idiots Bular, Hogg, Skinner and Hope.

And not to be left out. The idiots of USAPA.

I see a few negative points...good.

Truth hurts, doesn't it. Good thing I did not bring up the safety record prior to the acquisition in 2005, the best you can do is a video from Australia, Claxon?

That's SJS, not to be confused with Shiny Jet Syndrome. SJS (Senior Jerk Syndrome) usually has it's onset when you can comfortably hold a good line as captain. Sure signs are not caring about reserve rules and thinking everything should be seniority based. Around this time you begin to believe the retirement age for pilots should be raised to 80+. I have a feeling my first symptom will be:

Bean

Bring that to Los Cabos. Good times in Baja.

Doug Parker:

"On the US Airways side, they also have an uncomfortable pattern, but they listened and got engaged about the process at the right time and they got creative and aggressive and decided how to make it better for their members. They engaged. We are really grateful to their leadership."

"We found relationships that we didn't know we had become important in this transaction. It meant everything to us."

And have a big boy call sign, written on the side of the plane. ;-)

I see the "Hat Police" on the Uniform Committee want to make a "comeback", good grief! One of the few good changes that's ever happened around here was not having to drag that "bus drivers" hat around. Funny how the "pro hat" crowd invariably turns out to be those who have never been in the military, same with the 'Bomber Jacket" contingent.
