No, the APA guys got a better deal with their pensions because of EVERYTHING that came before them, including our failures. I despise the West Class more than you will know, but I will say this. Their reps are a heck of lot more unified and logical in defending the needs of their pilots than any of ours are (my friends included.) If I were a rep for USAPA, and I never have been, I would be reaching out to the West reps if I thought there was any chance of bettering my own pilots. Your child like attempts to paint me as PHX lover are silly. And as a final jab tonight, at least the PHX pilots show up to vote in elections, unlike the CLT pilots. RR

I will give you the last opinion tonight, god knows you need it.
 
The president and everyone that pushed it said that it was not a tax. The chief justice took a very tortured reading of the statute, that even his own writings don't support, and declared that it was legal because it was a tax.

If the Supreme Court rules it a tax, then by definition, it's a tax.

That's simply the way our system of government works. The Supremes always have the final say, and they define the law.

Actually it was a woman in her late 30's. She had an irregular heatbeat and at risk of sudden death and needed a pacemaker.

She was in good health otherwise but was living with a timebomb. Maybe she went to the back of the line because of her age. I don't know.

Somebody in the system made decisions for her.

We are already at the point where the drug companies and the government are to a certain extent making life or death decisions and not allowing the doctors to practice medicine. My wifes' neurologist quit medicine because he got tired of the drug providers changing his patients medications from one that really worked for the patient to a generic which did not work. I have no problem taking generics myself because I have no real health issues and if I did a trip to the hospital would be paid for whereas the proper drug copay makes the cost prohibitive.

I've never had a problem with generics. Lower co-pay for a drug that does the same job. People should have the choice if they want to pay the higher price a non-generic. That should be an option.

I agree the health care system needs a little health care itself. My brother is a real estate developer in the healthcare industry. He works with many hospital administrators who are in a pinch because of unpaid bills. Someone wheeled into an ER is not going to be required to fill out paperwork. They have to try and collect unpaid bills. The hospitals can't collect on a large portion and are facing a budget crunch.

This whole Obamacare thing is fine and dandy as long as you are responsible enough to enroll. The illegal immigrant population who use these services are not going to be participants. There is a reason they are called undocumented. Others don't feel they need to have insurance mandated or not.

Obamacare is a feel-good solution, not a remedy for the ailing healthcare system.

Snap, I agree with you (however, those of us who understand that ACA is only about controlling the populace... It is not about delivering the excellent healthcare we have become accustomed to at an affordable price)!

They Supreme Court said the government can take private property and give it to corporations which we all know is unconstitutional.

The Supreme Court are not Gods, they are men subject to blackmail and bribery just like the Congress and everyone else.

Who do you call when the Supreme Court breaks the law?

The Constitution means what is says, not what the Supreme Court says it says.
 
Incorrect. The SCOTUS has the final say in Constitutional law.

That's what slaves think.

If the Supreme Court says the Second Amendment does not give individuals the Rigth to Bear Arms that don't make it so.

The Declaration of Independence says, in part

“That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”

The authority to govern is derived from the constent of the people.

Anybody notice the IR Report issued by the company this morning shows 10 767's at the end of 2013? This is a change from the last IR which showed 7 at the end of this year. Maybe the company decided to extend the lease for another year? New East bid soon to re-staff for 3 additional 767"s?
