When this is all over it will be as my economics 101 prof. used to say about the end of a hand of cards...."the winners were laughing and whooping it up and the losers were saying deal the cards!" Perhaps this will be over soon one way or the other win or lose.

What's your prediction?

My guess is it will follow current ALPA merger policy, closely resembling the list that the our merger committee put forth. There will be weighting for LOS, category and status, and career expectations. Furloughees will populate the bottom of the list but may not be stapled.

It will definitely not be DOH, and I will most likely lose quite a few years of seniority (4-5). Life will go on, and since binding arbitration is BINDING, we will all learn to live with it.

True to form, Katz is leading the CAL pilots down the wrong path by shooting for the moon and thinking it will end up somewhere in the middle. It is not a negotiation at this point. Arbitrators do not split the baby.

Weighting for LOS and you only lose 4 years? Good deal? put yourself 17 years down the list and preach the benefits of "AN INTERNAL UNION POLICY" ! My guess your so junior it makes no difference! No guess needed!

Freund is presenting a balanced, logical case. Katz is presenting a pie-in-the-sky proposal, an identical setup we have seen before. I think the outcome of the SLI will look close to the UAL proposal- basically a relative seniority merge.

Dan Katz? Is that the same guy that told the AAA MEC that the path they were taking with the NIC had no middle ground and we would either win big or lose big? If so, this is an interesting twist...

Guess my point is although I expressed it badly...until you are living that contract it really is nothing but a piece of paper. USAirways management has tended to "interpret" the heck out of our contract since before the 2 BK's.
The problem over the nic/doh should have been decided years ago.....management could have taken a stand and the courts could have been more decisive but to quote Rakesh Gangwal "we are where we are". Sad but true.

Bob would be the very last guy here to be "accusing" you, or anyone for that matter, of anything, so you're even blathering out such nonsense is interesting behavior, especially since nothing in his post at all even inferred anything of the kind.

While you're hysterically rambling about in some strangely twisted, defensive postion though:

1) WHY, as in; for what possible reason would/should ANY (even marginally sane) AMR person be labeling or assailing "any of the Easties" at all? What does any of this internecine LCC nonsense mean to you?

Works for me snap. Last time I experienced an Eagles concert was back in Jurrasic times at the Oakland Coliseum...and I'd love to see 'em again, in whatever their current form...Oh well. 🙂

I saw the Rolling Stones in Houston a little over 10 years ago. I bought tickets for their performance in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock. I sold those tickets at a premium and I more than paid for the trip to Houston.
