One of mine's still in Afghanistan..AGAIN! "Dumbass" insisted on more Combat Theater Duty when he had an otherwise "career enhancing" CONUS billet. I couldn't possibly be more proud of him. No excuse for being a jackazz in chat here though. Again...Sorry brothers.

I will pass that on sir, and thank you...not to get overly dramatic, but all prayers for those in harm's way always appreciated.
"We were soldiers once, and young"...but we sure-as-hell ain't anymore, and those magnificent youngsters now taking on that Duty should be appreciated by all of us. I've got "just" one still in Uniform, and every day, every night, I pray that no harm comes to him...and must always wonder if it was my "bad" influence that put him in that Uniform.....Family tradition that I followed be damned...that's MY "baby" Son! it just kills me sometimes that he's "there", instead of me. What have I got left to lose, while he should have decades more of life to live, see his baby children married, his grandkids/etc?
Sigh!...nevermind....OK...AWA's supposed "spartans" suck!...and I'll now leave the table open to all. 😉
