Oh, you are operating on the assumption that there is agreement with you.

If you ever find USAPA in disagreement with your aspirations, and unwilling to be persuaded, you may have to find someone with the jurisdiction and authority to change USAPA's negotiating position. Wake didn't have the horse power to stay the course, but Silver might be a lot smarter... She has been in the past. 😀

Which is EXACTLY why we will NEVER trust you at your word or signed document again. Hang in there Scott, we're almost 'Mercan!

Plz explain how with fences that might apply.

If USAirways has to furlough 1000 pilots under DOH with fences how many are going to be West Captains and F/Os vs original East F/Os.

Besides that no airline is going to operate two separate divisions of the same aircraft type indefinitly.

If fences fix the problem then do you agree to putting fences around the Nicolau Award and using it?

Since the TA called for ALPA merger policy to be used, and fortuitously the NIC hasn't become effective (a product of the outdated ALPA merger policy)... Would it be appropriate to avail ourselves of this opportunity to secure for all USAir pilots the bennefits enshrined in ALPA's improved merger policy? Seriously... To be in compliance with both the letter and intent of the TA. Rhetorically speaking.

There are big problems out West. There is now a solid divide on sticking with NIC or nothing. Seems a lot of West Class folks are tired of "nothing." Being paid only slightly more than the East, trapped in PHX, no wide body upgrades, and a general sense that there simply will be no improvement on anything for years has the rank and file squirming. The Legal effort is in a shambles after the Section 22 fiasco. Fingers are pointing, loyalties are being questioned. All they have left is to somehow prove they were "tricked" into voting for the MOU. Late October is shaping up to be a train wreck for all of them. RR (cue a junior West Class member telling me how bad I have it out East.)

Great out of the box thinking! I will never agree the T/A requires us to us ALPA merger policy; but I will note it does not say "2005" ALPA Merger policy! RR

Yes a big divide.. diametrically opposed to each other... but not to worry, Silver will appoint the right group to represent the West. Her crystal ball is accurate enough to know in advance the outcome of a West representation election, so there is no need to have one. Thank goodness because in the airline industry delay is never a good thing.

She relinquished the top role but is still on the bench. Perhaps it will mean no change.

Maybe not having to be the "boss" of the entire bench actually relieves her workload. Maybe she will have a little more free time to really read USAPA's filing on jurisdiction. RR

Too bad for her. Now she has to answer it. Answering it and saving face seem to be mutually exclusive propositions. 😀
