She's either playing people for fools or she is one.
I never thought I would see a day when someone said something that made Palin look smart. That's the really scary part.
That would be a neat trick. She's either playing people for fools or she is one. Maybe someone should send her a memo saying that if a presidnet had that sort of power GWB Jr and Obama would have done it already.

What you may or may not have figured out is that when you say "$2.00 Gas" is it $2.01/Gal or $2.97/Gal???? Pretty slick statement on nher part.
Could we get $2.00/Gal gas again? YES and frankly it could easily happen under Obama. A few things would have to happen that he has been unwilling to do so far. However if he continues to sink like an anchor in the polls that could change.
Some have predicted that the price of oil would drop dramatically if we merely ANNOUNCED that we would permit drilling in ANWR. The drilling can be done safely with little if any long term damage. Another part of the strategy would be to make an announcement that he (Obama) wants to walk in the foot steps of JFK and establish a national goal of energy independence by 2022.
He can do this right now today and see IMO near immediate results on all fronts. We could easily have gas in the high $2's, low 3's by Christmas if he acted over Labor day weekend. You get gas down around $2.25 and he is IMO unbeatable. Why? Because a big drop in gas prices would put more money into circulation for our consumer driven economy. Food prices would drop as well as anything made from petrol. Additionally we'd have more tax revenue as more gas was being used and the economy starts to grow a bit more robustly.
I think Michele Bachmann made a very astute move as it's highly likely we could see $2.25/gallon gas in short order. It won't take much for the bottom to fall out of oil prices. It can probably be accomplished with a microphone and TV camera.
You talk about lower gas prices allowing more money being available in a consumer driven economy. Here's one way you could do that, drive more efficient cars. The other day I filled up at my local Costco. The person in front of me driving had a Chevy Suburban and put $70 worth of gas. My four banger took a little over $30. Driving away I had close to $40 more in which to spend on something else. Try saying that we as the American people have a role in this as well and see what happens.
Gonna be long 8+ years for you thin skinned liberals![]()
I have a small business and a van. I use it for my business.
Many small businesses use Costo for shopping. As do I.
Should I go shopping in 4 banger to make you feel better?
Did I say anything about people who use trucks and/or vans for a business? I did not so please stop with the "Should I go shopping in 4 banger to make you feel better?" crap.
That guy who spent $70 in gas for his Suburban, chances are he was not using it for a business. Who would spend that kind of money on an SUV for hauling stuff around when you can get a van or a truck for much cheaper AND have more carrying capacity?
So I am well aware that there are people who drive trucks or vans for business reasons. However most people who drive around in SUV's, and more than a few pick truck owners, do not need them. It's more of a statement of "Look how much money I make", or in a lot of cases "Look how much debt I put myself in" than actual need.
The real point here is it's NOT your call. We are a nation founded upon individual Freedom & Liberty which includes the right to choose the car you drive. When government tries to force choices through market manipulation they become tyrants.
