Newt seems like a spoiled brat and he is delusional to boot. He seems to think that the fact that he cheated on two wives, got his butt booted out of Congress by his own party and paid $300k in fines did not happen. He thinks he can say crazy crap like hauling judges in front of Congress for decisions that he disagrees with is OK. He seems to think that if says he was not a lobbyist that it will make it true. This may play well for the fringe right but I hardly think it will work for the independents which is where races are won.

I am not a huge fan of Obama but to look at Gingrich as a viable alternative is just plain bat chit crazy. I would rather have Paul over Gingrich.

I just cannot believe John King let Gingrich get away with his little temper tantrum in the debate. Gingrich opened up a hole the size of a Mac truck and King just left it alone and cowered in the corner like a whipped dog.

I've been paying attention. The problem with the debate format is that the person asking the question is really not in the position to hold a canidates feet to the fire.

I'm not sure it's their role to do so.

A debate should be a free and open exchange of ideas, concepts, opinions and policy positions. NOT a high tech game of "Gotcha". So IMO the questioners appropriate role is one of facilitation not interjecting.

Allow the candidates to state their positions with a rebuttal period. Frankly it's up to the viewer/listener to then apply their weight to things like:
Honor
Integrity
Specific Points of View
Credibility

If the Moderator/Questioner interjects to much into the exchanges then I think he/she does the viewer a disservice.

Agreed! Truth is they can't as the Politician's "People" won't let you near their meal ticket if you ask hardball questions. Having worked in Entertainment I can safely say that "people" who manage performers and those who do the same for our Political Class are cut from the same cloth.
