My niece and I both live in NY. She bought a house recently and while discussing our high monthly natural gas bills (North of $500) she said she thought she did somthing wrong with the rhermostat. I told her the only thing she did wrong was voting Democrat.

I look at those cost of living calculators and the difference in costs between living in Ft Lauderdale and Brooklyn is 31% higher. So if I make $90,000 here, to live the same way there I have to earn $27,900 more.

I miss some things about NYC but not enough things to justify how much it costs there.
