Boehner Will Resign from Congress

Carson is done, just does not know it. Someone who think the Big Bang and evolution are fair tails won't make it into office. He appeals to the base but that kind of thinking won't make it to nation office.

I was shocked beyond belief....but his personal opinion on that subject wouldn't sway me from voting for the man.

I was curious if he sleeps in skivvies or in the raw. That might directly affect my vote.

That's YOUR opinion and you know what they say about those.
Separation of church and state is not my idea as much as I'd like to take credit for it. As for science, it is true regardless of whether someone believes it or not.

It's a voluntary action done by the individual. It's politics and elected officials follow the political winds.

Has nothing to do with the separation of church and state.

Why then do they place their hand on the bible when taking the oath of office?

Feel free to show us all where in US Law it says, or requires any elected President to "place the hand on 'the', or any bible, while taking the oath of office.

"With the Presidential oath of office, there are few definite requirements, and a bunch of long-standing traditions that, again, mainly started with George Washington, like the placing of the hand on the Bible. Nothing requires Presidents to swear their oath on the Bible. John Quincy Adams didnt swear the oath on the Bible at all. In fact, JQA took his oath in a way that I think is much more powerful than using a Bible he placed his hand on a book of U.S. laws to represent his promise to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. After President McKinley was assassinated in 1901, Theodore Roosevelt didnt use a Bible or any other prop when being sworn in. In Dallas, on Air Force One, there was no Bible, so stewards found a Catholic missal belonging to the slain President Kennedy, and thats how he 36th President was sworn in."

Carry on. Boehner was the best thing you had going to get your slim agenda through.

Finally the republican party is in a state of revolution. This is good for democracy from time to time.
