I do not see a victor in this battle. In order for there to be a victor, someone must surrender. The conflict will continue until someone does something stupid and a big nasty cloud pops up over the region.
Israel will be victorious in the END. Who knows what can happen in the meantime... the Israelis have been defeated numerous times in history; but they keep coming back stronger. None of the prophecies categorically preclude Israel losing its land once AGAIN and then regaining it in another battle.
However I disagree with the notion that Israel will ever be uprooted again!
"'I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild : ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,' says the LORD your God." -- Amos 9:14-15
Yes Israel will be victorious in the end and she will undoubtedly be attacked until the time of the END.
"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it".--ZECHARIAH 12:2-3

"'However, the days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when men will no longer say 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt, ‘but 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers.'" -- Jeremiah 16:14
"The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and settle them in their own land. Aliens will join them and unite with the house of Jacob, Nations [i.e., "Gentiles"] will take them and bring them to their own place." -- Isaiah 14:1,2
"'Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return. I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them.'" -- Zechariah 10:9-10

Isaiah spoke of a Israel being reborn in one day
Bible passage: Isaiah 66:7-8
Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC
Fulfilled: 1948
In Isaiah 66:7-8, the prophet foreshadowed the re-birth of Israel in 1948. Isaiah describes a woman giving birth before going into labor, and he speaks of a country being born in one day. This accurately describes what happened on May 14, 1948 - when the Jews declared independence for Israel as a united and sovereign nation for the first time in 2900 years.
During that same day, the United States issued a statement recognizing Israel's sovereignty. And, only hours beforehand, a United Nations mandate expired, ending British control of the land. During a 24-hour span of time, foreign control of the land of Israel had formally ceased, and Israel had declared its independence, and its independence was acknowledged by other nations. Modern Israel was literally was born in a single day.
Isaiah said the birth would take place before there would be labor pains. And that too is precisely what happened. A movement called Zionism began in the 1800s to encourage Jews worldwide to move to Israel, which at that time was called Palestine. Within hours of the declaration of independence in 1948, Israel was attacked by the surrounding countries of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
When reading Isaiah 66:7-8, keep in mind that Israel's status as a sovereign nation was established and reaffirmed during the course of a single day, and that it was born of a movement called Zionism, and that its declaration of independence was not the result of a war but rather the cause of one.
Isaiah 66:7-8
"Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children."
You're starting to sound like that other guy 12..![]()
Not to burst your bubble; But Amos (the above quoted minor prophet) was doing his prophecies 700 years before Christ.
AFTER those prophecies, the FIRST Jewish temple was destroyed and the Jewish people were exiled (about 200 years after Amos).
THEN, after the defeat by the Babylonians, a large remnant of the Jewish population returned to the promise land and rebuilt the Temple (70 years after the first temple was destroyed). THEN, in the 1st century (around 800 years after Amos) the Romans besieged and conquered the city of Jerusalem, and destroyed the Second Temple.
Thus, since this first defeat, reinhabiting of the promise land, and subsequent defeat happened AFTER the prophecies of Amos, it stands that the prophecies do not categorically preclude Israel from losing its land and then regaining it in another battle as promised by God.
I do not see a victor in this battle. In order for there to be a victor, someone must surrender. The conflict will continue until someone does something stupid and a big nasty cloud pops up over the region.
Where have I condemned anyone to Hell fire and brimstone? 😛
So then your calling God a liar?
Or did you just conveniently ignore this part?
I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,' says the LORD your God." -- Amos 9:14-15

Husseini's prediction began to come true almost immediately after the UN announced partition resolution on November 29, 1947. The Arabs declared a protest strike and instigated riots that claimed the lives of 62 Jews and 32 Arabs. Violence continued to escalate through the end of the year.4
The first large-scale assaults began on January 9, 1948, when approximately 1,000 Arabs attacked Jewish communities in northern Palestine. By February, the British said so many Arabs had infiltrated they lacked the forces to run them back.5 In fact, the British turned over bases and arms to Arab irregulars and the Arab Legion.
In the first phase of the war, lasting from November 29, 1947 until April 1, 1948, the Palestinian Arabs took the offensive, with help from volunteers from neighboring countries. The Jews suffered severe casualties and passage along most of their major roadways was disrupted.
No, by no means. You apparently have trouble with comprehension.
As I stated in my very last post, I mentioned that Israel WILL be given the promise land, if in fact it has not happened already. I have never mentioned otherwise.
That verse does not say WHEN he will place them in the land to never be uprooted. It also does not preclude the Jewish People from coming onto the land and then being expelled (has happened before). If you say otherwise, YOU are the liar.
You cannot conveniently ignore history. The Jewish people came back to build the second temple and then were conqured again!!
This also is wrong! It took much longer than one day. The Partition Plan by the UN General Assembly occurred on November 29, 1947... a full 6 months before Israel was able to declare independence.
Also, the war part is wrong. The soon-to-be Israelis were attacked after the Partion Plan, but months before your so-called "one-day rebirth."
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
The battle for each senator's vote on immigration is at the hand-to-hand combat level now, with business groups that want the bill and grass-roots activists who oppose it fighting it out through phone calls, radio ads and personal visits at offices back home.
When did business get a vote? We need to find out WHAT business is fighting for this bill and Boycott them.

You had to ask....
Just 14% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress.
