You mean to say that they wouldnt just replace the windshield?

Eventually GSE would get around to replacing the windshield. But as long as it was out of service, you'd get a replacement which was less likely to be crappy. Problem solved for the day/week... and maybe permanently if the OTS unit simply stayed in the pool after repair...

Not gonna hear it from me... I hate stories like this; they just make everyone look bad.

When people find out I'm a crew chief on the ramp (at NW, now DL), they invariably ask two questions:

1. Do you go through people's stuff?

and

2. Can you score me free tickets?

The answer to both is "no."

Someday, I hope to have the conversation w/o #1 coming up....

I just say I'm a janitor and they leave me alone, try it sometime.
