I dont want it to succede by killing the employees economically why the execituves take another $24 million out of the company.

Lakefield's objective and purpose is to fix the cost and balance sheet so Bronner can sell and get his money. If they were going to liquidate they would have done that months ago.

Not true,

They want to go through the motions so if and when it fails they can blame labor.

The company will not fail. It will transform and compete . Surviving without the majority of its current employees, will be difficult, but a must as i see it. It doesnt breed loyality to continue to cut pay, but once newhires are in place, with no expectations, things will begin to ease off. Its not easy knowing someone will replace you making a fraction of what you were making, and being happy about it at the same time. Its reality however, and we can all talk about it to the cows come home, but its where its going.

Lets see ole Doc Bronner and Lakefield Stated:

US had to file Bankruptcy once again because labor would not come to new agreements.

Then US attacks labor in the 1113e process, gee, my penison is not being funded but all the Executives' Pensions are!

Company puts more pressure on labor with the start of the 1113c process.

And almost 60 days into bankrutpcy and they have not even started talks with any lessors or creditors except the ATSB to share the sacrifice.

Gee why are 25 planes getting their engines mated?

Guess what?

Cure payments are due on 11/11/04 to a tune of a $100 million.

You will see planes either given back or repossed.

Does not take a financial wizard harvard MBA to figure out what is going on!

There was NO WAY, Bush was going to let US fold before the election! Plain and simple, in an election that close, he wasn't about to let 28,000 jobs go down the drain, just before people lined up to vote. Why do you think that they were so easy to convince, when the company wanted to use their money, even though the government has made it clear that they are no longer interested in bailing out airlines?

Now however, all bets are off! If the real intent is to end the suffering of this sick pup we call US Airways, you can bet life support will be pulled within the next couple of months. Then Bronner can buy up enough pieces to start his tresured, "Bama" airlines. Low fares, low paid employees, served up with good old Southern Comfort!

Makes me wonder... If your fares are low enough, can you still have an airline without planes? :lol:
[post="199068"][/post]

Sure you can. They will have USAirways or Star Alliance liveries and be operated by a myriad of carriers. None of whom will be receiving a pay check from USAirways. Finally, Dave Siegel's "Virtual Airways" fully realized.
